Ava has really emerged in her roll as floor general on one of the nations top teams. She entered high school without the notoriety of many of the players in her class but did it the old fashioned way by working her butt off and getting better each year. She was a key part of the Quakers coming back in the game knocking down some big three’s down the stretch. She has gained confidence in her game looking to attack the pressure and breaking players down off the dribble.
Ryan Carter
Ryan Carter
Ryan is a high level player with superior athleticism. She shot the ball well from beyond the arc and attacked the basket seeking contact and finishing. She used spin moves well in the lane and her quick first step allowed her to take the baseline of the dribble. Oh yeah, she is a freshman.
It was unclear whether Talayah would be playing after an ankle injury took her out the previous day. Well after 24 hours and an ankle brace not only did she return but, she returned playing at a level that was beyond what I’ve seen from her. She was doing it all running the floor, attacking, finishing, shooting the ball, defense, you name it she did it. She was clearly one of the top players in the building and with continued play like this she could be top 5 in the class.
Jordyn Palmer
Jordyn Palmer
Jordyn is another freshman that was playing a an extremely high level. She has a college body and grabbed rebounds then pushed the ball up then court through traffic. When she got to the rim she just elevate over defender and she has range out to the three. There was one play that won’t show up on the stat sheet when the ball had gotten wedged high in the and without any prep she casually rose in a single bound and freed it.
Logyn Greer
Logyn Greer
Logyn’s length was disruptive on defense and she showed some finishing moves around the basket. She actively seeks out blocked shots and is just as effective altering the shots as opposed to blocking them. She is confident enough bringing the ball up court when not pressured.
