Many southern area Michigan schools attended the event; the gym was fired up with prospects taking flight in every game. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing unranked, unknown, under-the-radar prospects perform live, and that’s exactly what happened during the games at Airport Thursday.
Madleen Hussein Madleen Hussein CG Flat Rock | 2026 State MI is a talented two-way prospect for the Flat Rock Rams. She works hard on both ends, causing multiple turnovers throughout the game by getting her hands in passing lanes. Madleen finished around the basket by reading defenders and using effective footwork. She drained a wing 3 and hit multiple jumpers as she created space with various dribble moves and jabs. Madleen put up 12 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals in a complete effort at the Airport showcase Thursday.
Addison Kopp
Addison Kopp
Addison Kopp (2025) was an undercover jet who absolutely took flight Thursday at the Airport Showcase. From beginning to end, Addison stood out as a prospect who should be on coaches radars. She caught my attention early, scoring a scoop finish with a high leap. Addison stole passes and drained a corner three, then hit another one from the top of the key. Her athleticism, quickness, and strength on a straight line drive to the basket to elevate around the rim jumped out. Addison had a strong and one finish again at the rim: she earned a double double with 20 points and 10 rebounds on the night. I heard Addison is an impressive softball athlete, but she should definitely consider playing basketball at the next level as well.
Kennedy Albring
Kennedy Albring
Kennedy Albring (2024) is a strong, tough, and powerful wing for Ida. She played determined defense and her efforts inside were crucial in a comeback victory for the Bluestreaks. Kennedy made an impressive play when she used a reverse pivot into a jump stop then finished a contested shot off the glass. She hit a corner jumper and drove downhill then finished a contested shot off the glass. Kennedy plays with tenacity and toughness on both ends: her physical strength is evident. She denied cutters passes and guided them out of the paint. Kennedy won a battle for the rebound when she ripped the ball away and finished strong inside elevating off two feet.
Jessica Schrader
Jessica Schrader
Jessica Schrader (2025) propelled her team to victory at Airport Thursday. She went into another atmosphere in the second half putting up a monster third quarter with 13 points. Jessica was relentless as she drove to the basket drawing fouls and scoring through contact. She scored multiple floaters from a variety of angles; she caused havoc defensively with deflections and steals. Jessica blocked a shot late, scoring a clutch drive through contact and hitting multiple free throws to help secure the victory for Ida. One of her best plays came near the end of the game when she helped up an opponent who deflected a ball out of bounds. Jessica was one of the top performers at the showcase; she ended the game with 22 points and 8 rebounds.
