The Lady Skyhawks from Hammond were led by Elon signee Samira Khalil Samira Khalil 5'8" | CG Hammond | 2024 State SC who finished with a game high 16 points. The Lady Skyhawks really struggled in the second quarter scoring just 2 points while falling behind at the halftime intermission 21-16.
Spring Valley HS 64 Cardinal Newman 27
The Lady Vikings ran away from this midafternoon game and never looked back here today. Senior post player Emory Smith came off the bench and led the way with 13 points. Junior Zie’l Ratchford Zie’l Ratchford 5'7" | CG Spring Valley | 2025 State SC finished with 11 points and fellow senior Gabrielle Lemons had the hot hand to start the game finished with 10 points. Junior forward Mariana Moody Mariana Moody 6'0" | PF Spring Valley | 2025 State SC chipped in with 8 points in the win. The Lady Vikings led 46-16 at the halftime break.
Sophomore guard Teonna Draughn Teonna Draughn 5'5" | PG Cardinal Newman | 2026 State SC had 13 points for the Lady Cardinals in the loss.
Lexington HS 47 Lower Richland HS 42
The Lady Wildcats prevailed over the Diamond Hornets in a close one down to the wire. Kailen Parks Kailen Parks 5'6" | SG Lexington | 2026 State SC who missed all of last season led the way with 16 points in the win. Freshman guard Evie Godfrey Evie Godfrey 5'5" | PG Northside Christian | 2027 State SC added 12 points while sophomore post player Sydni Anderson Sydni Anderson 6'2" | C Lexington | 2026 State SC added 9 points. The Lady Wildcats scored the final 6 points in the game after being down 42-41 with 2:13 left in the game.

The Lady Cardinals defeated Lady Cavaliers in overtime here on the opening night of the CNHY Showcase. Sophomore guard Teonna Draughn Teonna Draughn 5'5" | PG Cardinal Newman | 2026 State SC pumped in 29 points in the win. Freshman Zaria Thompson Zaria Thompson 6'3" | C Cardinal Newman | 2027 State SC and Ayana Reyes both scored 8 points apiece.
Ajaela Brown led a very balanced attack for the Lady Cavaliers with 13 points. Zimarika Moorer Zimarika Moorer 5'9" | PF Richland Northeast | 2026 State SC and senior Lujain Jallab both finished with 12 points and 11 points respectively. Junior forward Sasha Cebula Sasha Cebula 6'1" | SF Richland Northeast | 2025 State SC added 8 points in the defeat.
