Williams is an exciting young prospect. I saw her play at the 5th Annual GFL and she was terrific. She was powerful and efficient, especially from the mid range. Williams can see the floor and pass off the high post. She could create a very tough matchup at the Michigan Hardwood Classic.
Highlights
Richards and her Lansing Catholic squad will take on Mumford on Wednesday. Richards will play a key role in the matchup. It will be interesting to watch her control the pace and get her team into offensive sets. These are 2 of her strengths as a guard and 2 keys to the game as well.
Highlights
Collins led her Blissfield team to state finals appearance last season and is committed to Concordia. She was one of the most improved players in the state last season and looks to top last year’s success. Collins is a mentally tough guard that will take and make big shots.
Prenkert’s Brandywine team takes on the defending state finalist Blissfield. Brandywine will need to match the talented Blissfield backcourt and Prenkert is a player that can take that challenge. She’s an efficient guard that’s willing to do the little things and win hustle points.
Girls basketball fans in Michigan should take the chance to see Barnes from Wendell Phillips Academy out of Illinois. She’s a dynamic guard that gets downhill going at the rim. Barnes is fast with the ball with great offensive footwork. She’s a creative finisher with tremendous body control.
Highlights
Arbor Prep will take on Wendell Phillips Academy in Romulus. The Illinois team is athletic and explosive, so slowing them down will be critical. Right up Stephanie Utomi Stephanie Utomi 5’9″ | SG Arbor Prep | 2024 State MI ‘s alley. Her physical strength to stop ball handlers in their tracks and her defensive prowess will be fun to watch.
