Collins has a much deserved reputation as a big game player and she did it again yesterday. Her team fell in a great game against Brandywine, but she had Collins-like effort in the contest. Collins paced her team with a game high 20 points and grabbed a bunch of boards chasing the ball down from the perimeter.

Avery Collins Avery Collins PG Blissfield | 2024 State MI gutted out an inspired performance for Blissfield at the Michigan Hardwood Classic. She put up 20 points with 9 rebounds and 4 steals in a hard fought battle. Avery finished many difficult shots around the rim and caused turnovers with her defensive awareness and pressure on ball handlers. Nearly every shot and layup Avery made was contested with defenders closing in, which shows you how tough and determined she was in this game. She worked hard for offensive rebounds and put backs to keep her team competing till the end.

Collins led her Blissfield team to state finals appearance last season and is committed to Concordia. She was one of the most improved players in the state last season and looks to top last year’s success. Collins is a mentally tough guard that will take and make big shots.

We’ve been watching Collins blow up, at the very least, since her explosion in the high school state playoffs. She has proven that she can be an elite scorer and put up points in bunches. Collins is very efficient for such a high output scorer as well. She can create on her own as well as patiently score out of the offense.

Her defense with Legends Flight has been what has really stood out so far during grassroots season. She’s shown a nose for the ball and the ability to pick up at half court and create chaos. Collins has done a great job turning defense into offense and getting down the floor in transition.
