We will start by looking at some of the players to watch in day 1 of the event. To begin, we will focus on 3 games: Ann Arbor Huron vs. Marysville, Port Huron Northern vs. Romulus and Kalamazoo Central vs. East Kentwood.
Wolters leads a talented Marysville team that’s coming off a 20 win season against a building Ann Arbor Huron program. Wolters is an extremely talented wing with a well rounded game. She does a little of everything for her squad. Wolters is an efficient scorer and a realistic triple-double threat in points/rebounds/assists.
The GVSU commit will be a headline player in Romulus on the 27th. She’s one of the top 2 way players in the state and has been rolling so far this season. Dillard is a constant threat to score with her ability to shoot from outside, manufacture buckets from mid range and power under the rim.

Collins is set to take her talents to Tennessee State after her high school career is done. I suggest seeing her play in Michigan while you still can. She’s an elite wing talent that can own a game in the open floor. Collins spreads the floor on the break and finishes with athleticism.
The Kalamazoo Central vs. East Kentwood matchup will feature some elite athletes. Porter-Wilson will be a key part of that exciting matchup. She’s an intriguing combination of powerful and smooth. Porter-Wilson has been a consistent scoring threat so far this season and will be relied upon as a scorer on Wednesday.
Freeman will be a very exciting player to watch at the Michigan Hardwood classic. She had a huge freshman season and is one of the most talented 2026’s in the state. Freeman is an athletic wing that is constant points and rebounds double-double threat. She and her Port Huron Northern team have an exciting matchup against an electric Romulus team.
Searcy has been nothing short of dynamite for Romulus this season. She has proven that she can score from all over the floor. Searcy has a jumper that she can bury off the dribble and the catch and has shown some really nice touch from mid range. Searcy can play and score in a fast paced game.

Jones will be fun to watch on Wednesday. College coaches, this will be your chance to check out an electric guard that can handle and score. She can break down the defense, as well as her individual matchup, and create scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Allen can be that sparkplug that Ann Arbor Huron needs. If she can buckle down, get stops and create chaos for the against efficient Marysville guards, it will go a long way toward a Huron win. Allen is at her best when she lets her defense dictate her game and uses her speed to turn it into instant offense.
