Many southern area Michigan schools attended the event; the gym was fired up with prospects taking flight in every game. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing unranked, unknown, under-the-radar prospects perform live, and that’s exactly what happened during the games at Airport Thursday.
Nyla Lake Nyla Lake 5’5″ | CG South Lyon East | 2026 State MI (2026) is an athletic playmaker for South Lyon East. She excelled at everything for the Cougars at Airport Thursday, scoring 14 points with 4 boards, 4 assists, and a game high 6 steals. She converted a strong catch and finish through a foul in transition and drilled a corner jumper. Nyla is a gamechanger who pressures the ball full court and forces turnovers with her quick hands and defensive footwork. Nyla has the speed, acceleration, and strength to finish at the rim; she does an excellent job finding teammates with her court vision.

Kaylynn Millander Kaylynn Millander 5'7" | SG Fitzgerald | 2025 State MI
Kaylynn Millander Kaylynn Millander 5’7″ | SG Fitzgerald | 2025 State MI (2025) turned on the jets to soar above defenders at Airport Thursday. She was on fire from beyond the arc, hitting a staggering 6 three pointers in the game. Her speed and control to catch and shoot accurately off of screens and the dribble made guarding her a challenge. Kaylynn has the explosive quickness to swipe passes and attack downhill for buckets in the paint. She skied up for rebounds on both ends and kept her team within striking distance all game. Kaylynn finished with 29 points, 12 boards, and 3 steals for Fitzgerald.
Janiya Mcwilliams, Macomb WBB commit, showed off her game breaking abilities Thursday at Airport. Her shifty quickness to push the tempo created scoring opportunities for herself and teammates; she attacked the basket with long strides and fancy footwork. Janiyah hit pull up jumers, stopping on a dime, and converted contested layups off of steals in traffic. She finished with 22 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals for Fitzgerald and is going to be an explosive guard for Macomb in 2024.
Allison O’Dowd Allison O’Dowd PG Jackson Lumen Christi | 2024 State MI made key plays for Lumen Christi to lead them to victory at Airport Thursday. She deflected many passes with her defensive awareness, having 3 steals during the game. Allison scored a floater after beating her defender off the dribble and drilled a wing 3 off the catch. She immediately scans the court for open teammates in transition after a rebound. Allison ended the game with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Zoe Leach
Zoe Leach
Zoe Leach (2025) was a long, athletic, and efficient forward for Monroe at Airport Thursday. She finished a full speed shot in the paint through a foul and then hit her free throw. Zoe went up to block an opponent’s shot and finished another contested basket in the paint. She provided offense to keep Monroe in the game and earned the inside position for rebounds. Zoe ended her efforts with a near double double, 9 points and 13 rebounds.
