Junior Abby Knauff Abby Knauff 5'9" | SG Bolles | 2025 State FL reached her 1000th point total in a little over two years of play and there is no doubt she can reach 2000 before she graduates from high school. Knauff was the not the only junior making noise in North Florida in Week 2. There were some other Juniors who put up great numbers and made headlines for their individual performances as well as for the performances of their teams. In this article we look at some of the Juniors who stood out in week 2 of the high school season.
Janai Jordan Janai Jordan 5’9″ | PG Providence Jacksonville Florida | 2025 State FL has started off great this high school season leading her team to some great wins, including a victory over Bolles, one of the top teams on the First Coast. In saw Jordan over the summer during the college live period and her all around was special then. Jordan is a versatile player and one of the top shooters on the First Coast in any class. She knows “no range” and shoots the long ball with great accuracy. Jordan does a good job on defense and plays in the middle of the press with great anticipation. She also handles the ball well and is a selfless player, who plays with the team in mind.
Jiyah Hamilton Jiyah Hamilton 5’2″ | PG Forest | 2025 State FL has been balling over in Marion county and putting up some good numbers. Hamilton can shoot the three and the short jumper. She has really been impressive with her ability to score inside, and her footwork in the paint has been on point. Hamilton continues to expand her game and is a hard player to defend as a result. Hamilton is a solid playmaker on the court and does a great job ofcreating for herself and her teammates.
Highlights
Nacoya Blocton Nacoya Blocton 6’0″ | PF Ridgeview | 2025 State FL had a good against Ponte Vedra this week and hit the last 5 points of the game including a game tying three pointer with under a minute remaining. Blocton also scored inside and made some impressive passes on the interior of the defense. Blocton is versatile and plays well on the inside and outside. As stated before, Blocton is one of the top stretch fours in the State. She came into last week averaging 17 points per game. She had 10 field goals in the paint and also three three-pointers as well.
Highlights
Kendall Kane Kendall Kane 6’0″ | SF Beachside | 2025 State FL had some nice threes and a few nice drives to the basket. Kane also had some nice drives to the basket and got to the free throw line. Kane is one of the top three point shooters but her game has changed some with consistent drives to the basket.
Kylie Johnson Kylie Johnson 5’8″ | PF Atlantic Coast | 2025 State FL played well against Mandarin and was a week 2 standout. She knocked in 10 points and was very impressive on the defensive end and on the boards. Johnson played with a lot of energy and was all over the court. She got to the freethrow line often because of her hustle and quickness to the ball. She gives it 100 percent for the entire game.
Jadynn Spivey Jadynn Spivey 5’9″ | SG Creekside | 2025 State FL was another special Junior I saw during week 1 and week number 2. Spivey knocked down some three point shots and what I was really was impressed by was her leadership on the floor. Spivey did a good job of running her team’s offense and settling the young players down when needed. Spivey was one of the primary outside shooters last season and was one of the District leaders in threes. This year, in. addition to averaging 9 pointsperf game, Spivey is running the point and providing leadership for her young team.
