I was on same court as some of these players and had a front row seat watching some of the other players. In this article, we look at some top notch performances on the First Coast by some of the talented Juniors.
Janai Jordan Janai Jordan 5'9" | PG Providence Jacksonville Florida | 2025 State FL was special against Creekside and digging deep in the offensive toolbar. She had the floater working, the midrange hitting, and the three ball was smoking to a tune of five of them from behind the arc. Jordan’s performance was the difference in a very close game. She handled the ball well, made plays for herself, and got teammates involved.
Abby Knauff Abby Knauff 5'9" | SG Bolles | 2025 State FL had the three ball working, and it was text book nice. No one shoots the three in rhythm the way Knauff does, and the footwork she displays while the pass is on the way is special. The conversion is just the icing on the cake. Knauff also handled the ball and made plays for her teammates. Her shooting ability along does that, but she is also very good at manipulating the defense with her eyes and with crisp ball movement. That’s a tribute to Knauff as well as her teammates and coaches.
Jadynn Spivey Jadynn Spivey 5'9" | SG Creekside | 2025 State FL was a true point guard and leader against Providence and led her team to a near upset. Spivey made some key shots and was downhill all game long. She has the ability to get to the rim and is one of the best at getting to the freethrow line. Against Providence, she poured in 13 points and also did a good job of distributing the ball and communicating with her teammates on the floor.
Janie Boyd Janie Boyd SG Providence School | 2025 State FL was impactful in week 4 and helped Providence stay undefeated. Boyd can shoot that three from anywhere on the floor and she is able to get to the rim and draw fouls. She is a crafty and high IQ player. Boyd had only 8 points against Creekside, but was effective on the defensive end and made plays to get her teammates the ball. Boyd came in to the final game of the week averaging nearly 14 points per game.
Nacoya Blocton Nacoya Blocton 6'0" | PF Ridgeview | 2025 State FL had a very impactful week number 4. Blocton shot threes, handled the ball on offense, and penetrated the defense and had some nice assists to her big down on the blocks. The versatile Blocton scored 16 against Mandarin and 14 against University Christian in addition to handling guard duties and power forward duties. She rebounded well and continued to showcase her unique skillset.
Destiny Donaldson Destiny Donaldson 5'9" | SF Ribault | 2025 State FL played well in the matchup with Mandarin, scoring 9 points and doing work on the boards with 6 tough rebounds. In a low scoring affair, she showed her ability to shoot from behind the arc and play lock-down defense.
