Jordan made a huge jump because of her Sandra Meadows Classic performance and I was glad to catch up with her after maybe a couple of seasons yet her ability to take over games offensively have been flashing on my timeline as she put up numbers, I have to see how it’s done for myself. Her sheer power attacking the basket gives defenders problems, especially on her finishes as contact doesn’t matter yet she also keeps the defender guessing because of her mid to long-range shooting, including the “stop and pop” in transition

Akpotayobo was a pleasant surprise at The Opening yet to stop me from wondering how I missed her, I was given an assist from my Kansas PGH colleague Robert Kelly who sent me a message she transferred. Her power around the basket is what initially grabbed my attention, along with how she did things fluidly at her size. She rebounded strongly on both ends, yes she went AFTA the ball, but she also scored around the rim using nice moves as well as solid hands and footwork. Her defense was also a big plus
King continues to show how ROYAL she is as her doing the little things that turn out to be big. Her unselfishness has always been huge as she understands how to get hers “in the flow” yet she can flip the switch in the blink of an eye and take games over as she finds ways to put the ball into the basket. Her mid to long-range is very nice, she wants the ball down the stretch and has shown she can deliver, perfect example is her plane landing when she was in the 7th grade and she makes it to the game late in the final quarter and drops a 3 to win it, I can’t make this stuff up

Peiffer has been on a scoring rampage for most of the season after transferring to a new school. I saw her for the first time a few years ago yet watching her at an Individual Showcase gave me an even better look at her ability to score. She thinks the game, understands how to set the defender up to not only get her shot off while being tightly defended but to drop it with a hand in her face, from mid to long range. Her deceptive first step gets the defender off balance for her to score off the dribble, attacking with either hand, plus her court vision is solid

Young is “long and athletic” which is and will always be the base yet her progression on the court is having me envisioning her showing signs of taking games over, on either end of the court and my last sighting is part of my reasoning. I didn’t mention her energy as se goes after the ball off the rim yet her lateral movement and ability top regroup on the defensive end is also nice. Yes, her upside is bright because she shows me something different each time I’ve caught her
