Not only did we add 25 new prospects to the overall list, but we also introduced the first true Top-25 for 2027 on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. Below is a look at five of those players from the shooting guard list. They aren’t necessarily the top five players at the position; this is simply a look at five of the prospects who are currently somewhere within our 2027 list.

– Jailen is a really nice, long, wiry, fluid, and smooth athlete. She shined at the Prep Girls Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase last Fall, and that has carried over into a strong Winter for her. On a young but improving Brebeuf Jesuit team, Jailen is averaging 9.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. She plays with a really nice motor and some toughness. Once she makes her perimeter shooting more consistent, she could be extremely dangerous.

– Providence has been a successful small school program, and they are going through a youth movement right now. With a strong 2026 class, they’ve added a solid 2027 class, and Jayda has been a standout already. She is averaging 9.9 points per game as a sniper from the perimeter, and she is shooting 34% from 3-point range and 69% from the charity stripe. As she continues to become more of a multilevel scorer, she could become really dangerous.

– Courtney is a nice, long, wiry-strong wing guard with a lot of potential. I’m not sure how much growth she still has left in her, but she should continue to get stronger. She is already a really nice athlete who flies around the floor making plays at both ends. She can defend multiple positions, both on and off the ball, and she rebounds it well for a guard. She can handle it a little, she’s a nice multilevel scorer, and she can create a little too.

– I first saw Brooke at a June team showcase with the Huskies, and she looked comfortable and mature on a Varsity floor. She is a very good perimeter shooter, knocking down 42% of her 3-point attempts. She is also averaging 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. She has a fairly athletic frame, nice length, wiry strength, and she plays with a good motor. If she can continue working on her handle and creativity, she could become a nice combo guard.

– Mya still needs quite a bit of strength, but she is extremely long, potentially still growing, and she has speed & quickness as well. She is a fairly smooth and fluid kid, she can knock down an open jumper, but she is much better slicing to the basket and finishing over and around defenders. Defensively, she uses her length and quickness well to affect passing lanes and create deflections/steal. She can also sit down and defend the ball.
