The 2025 forward continues to expand on her game and is doing a great job of doing a little bit of everything for the Lady Hornets. She does a great job using her body to gain position on her opponents. She is very strong and she is not going to be bullied on the block. She can post up her opponents or she can step out and shoot the jumper. She is also a very good ball handler and can be seen leading the fast break in transition. Defensively she has been an extremely solid defender and can be seen guarding essentially every position. She gives smaller guards problems with her size and physical style of play. She is certainly going to play a huge role in helping the Lady Hornets get back to the 2A State title game this season.u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["569639"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Speed, speed, speed. The junior is one of the fastest guard you will see play basketball in this state. She can flat out fly and can beat everyone down the floor. Her speed in transition makes her very difficult to guard in the open floor. She has a lightening quick first step and will use it to blow by defenders to attack the rim. She is a very good shooter and has a nice quick release on her shot. Quick and decisive in her decision making and she really makes her defenders think about her next move.u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e  u003c/spanu003eHer defensive quickness allows her to beat defenders to their spots and she does a great jobs of using her hands to deflect passes and poke the ball out of her opponent's hands. Jahriell has a very high motor and someone that can be an asset to a program at the next level.u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["412215"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"It'su003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e  u003c/spanu003eeasy to be overshadowed when you're playing in the front court next to the nation's best high school basketball player in [player_tooltip player_id='261084' first='Sarah' last='Strong'].u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e  u003c/spanu003eHowever, Icyss is a huge part of what Grace Christian does on both ends of the floor and she ice extremely valuable to this team. Her ability to defend the top of the key at her size is rare. Her length bothers small guards and she has plenty of lateral quickness to defend driving lanes and redirect opponents away from the basket. Her size simply gives guards problems and her impact on defense can not be denied. She is a very strong rebounder and she knows how to finish around the basket. Icyss is a big time player that is deserving of a lot more recognition for what she is able to do.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["340200"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"The Brynn Mawr commit continues to be an exceptional ball handler who has well above average court vision. The box score will never tell the full story of how she can affect the game. This is the kind of player you can trust to soundly run the team's offense to perfection. She has the unique ability to pass players open, giving her teammates ample opportunities to score the basketball.u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e  u003c/spanu003eShe makes difficult passes look easy and makes everyone play at her pace. A player with a lot of substance to her game and very fun to watch.u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["288420"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Samiyah continues to be one of the most impressive guards in North Carolina. The junior reached the 1,000 point milestone in December and is showing no signs of slowing down. She is simply a baller and has all the intangibles a coach needs in order to win games. She has made a name for herself with her ability to knock down high pressure shots during pivotal moments in games. She has a lot of speed and can get down the floor in a hurry. She is a very good three point shooter and can knock it down from all over. She has great defensive awareness and can anticipate and jump passing lanes. She can play either of the guard spots and at times will make the game look easy. She certainly makes Hillside a very dangerous team that is sure to make some noise at years end in the playoffs.u003cspan class=u0022Apple-converted-spaceu0022u003e u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65ad9844e3c6e"} /-->
