Best players in the state

They are a top 5 team in the state, sitting at 11-2. Their best player is junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='239496' first='Lanie' last='Grant']. Lanie is ranked 22nd in the Country for the 2025 class. Lanie is a highly gifted offensive player. She is a great shooter, smart when she gets into the lane, and as good of an overall scorer as anyone in the state. Lanie's biggest performance was in James River's first game against Manchester, scoring 43 points in an entertaining game. Mia is the 77th-ranked player in the Country for the class of 2024, and she has solidified herself as the best senior in the state. She has had some monster performances, like a 24-point and 21-rebound game in a top-5 matchup vs. James River Midlothian. Mia is such a force on both sides of the floor, and she is one of the most efficient scorers in the state. She is virtually unstoppable in the paint and is a double-double machine. Mia is averaging 20.7 PPG and 9.9 RPG on over 70% shooting from the field. Nyla is the 16th-ranked player in the Country for the class of 2025, and she is one of the best players in the state. Nyla is averaging 18 a game on a team that has a lot of talent. Thomas Dale has been the best team in the state this season, and [player_tooltip player_id='300374' first='Nylah' last='Wilson'] has been their best player. Nylah is so impactful on both ends of the floor and a fantastic athlete. She gets to the rim at a high level and has been the head of a 13-0 Thomas Dale team that has been dominant. Nylah is averaging 21.7 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and a 3.4 SPG. Sira is a talented scorer, and she has dominated teams with her combination of size and skill. She scores from all three levels and has elevated her play this year. The Elon committ has been the most significant reason Carroll County has been so good, and Maxpreps has them listed as the 7th best team in the state. Alyssa has had some monster performances, like a school-record 47-point performance in a win over Orange Park and a 44-point performance in a win over Honaker. Alyssa's defensive intensity and well-rounded game have been on display all year.
