Samantha Davis Samantha Davis 5'10" | SF Aquinas | 2026 State WI
Davis had to do more in her sophomore season to keep the Blugolds at the top level of small-school basketball, and she’s done that. She’s adapted to a high-usage role and has done as well as anyone could’ve hoped. She’s been a significant contributor in high-profile Blugold wins this season, and her athleticism will always make her stand out amongst her peers at the high school level.
Riley Ketterhagen Riley Ketterhagen 5'10" | CG Oostburg | 2026 State WI
Over the past year and a half, I’ve loved Riley’s game more each time I saw her play at the high school level or in AAU. I always knew she could shoot it, and maybe it’s because she’s played with multiple kids who could also handle the ball, but Riley is a much better ball handler than I gave her credit for when she came in as a freshman. Ketterhagen looks comfortable with the ball in her hands, does an excellent job getting to the rim and the free-throw when teams play man, and is more than capable of hitting an absurd amount of three-pointers against a zone.
Brooklyn Love Brooklyn Love 5'5" | PG Dominican | 2026 State WI
Of people who do similar things to what I do, I feel I’m in the minority of appreciating what Love can do, and I’m not sure why. Sure, she’s not at a massive school, and others may not see as much of her as they do others in the summer, but Love causes defenses a world of issues. She may be the most physically imposing kid in her class, but her first step is as quick and sudden as anyone else’s. You have to be able to beat your initial defender as a guard routinely if you want to be an effective small guard at the next level, and Love does that as well as anyone of her size in her class.
Alahnna A Simpson Alahnna A Simpson 5'10" | SG La Crosse Central | 2026 State WI
There is so much talent in Simpson’s game. She has length, athleticism, and skill and changes directions well. I’m probably underrating her game. Once things click, she’ll be one of the most frustrating players to guard. There’s a reason that a school with as much prowess as Illinois State offered her last summer. The talent is there, and at the high school level, it hasn’t come together yet for her, but once it does, she could become one of the top players in her class. None of that is to say she hasn’t been productive this season, but there is more to come with her.
Francesca McLain
McLain is one of the more intriguing prospects in 2026. She’s been a solid piece for Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic, and after watching her play, it’s easy to see why she’s as productive as she is for the Lancers. McLain’s faster, quicker, and more skilled than most in her conference. McLain also played up an age level for Midwest Elite’s EYBL program, which shows you how talented they think she is, so don’t be shocked to see her garner some attention this summer.
