You can see additional in game player evaluations below!
Doane stood out in her team’s win against East Jackson. She influenced the game in many ways beyond just scoring the ball. Doane kept a good defensive base on the perimeter and was able to pick up a ton of big stops as well as cause a little chaos. She was active around the rim and also played well off the high post. Doane moved without the ball, constantly cut to keep the defense moving and found open spots on the floor.
Kerley will have a huge impact on the success of East Jackson’s season. She has the strength needed to play an effective physical game and might even be better driving off contact. Kerley is a versatile player that can play on or off the ball. She was ready and willing to be the go-to offensive option.
Thelen is one of the more skilled guards that you’ll see around the state. She can work the defense with a swooping drive and even flashed a pretty spin move for a bucket off a jump stop. Thelen moved without the ball all night and forced the defense to react and rotate. She was able to push the pace with both the pass and the dribble, even beating the defense back off the bounce for an easy bucket.

This was my first time really evaluating Eklund’s game, and if she continues to play like this, she HAS to be a ranked prospect. As far as the measurables, she has next level strength and positional height. Eklund worked very well off the corners and the baseline on both sides. She got the ball to the rim and made plays from there with her ability to finish with power. She also showed the ability to hit cutters with an on-point pass.

Stopczynski stood out to me in Portland’s hard fought win against Gull Lake. You need players like Stopczynski to win championships. She was an energy defender that created at least a couple of turnovers. Stopczynski is definitely strong enough physically to compete at a very high level. She was able to put the ball on the floor and straight line drive to the rim and she also showed range on her jumper when she hit a triple.
