I had the opportunity to watch Gallagher in person in their home game against Jesuit on 1/10. Despite the loss, Gallagher was very impressive. She is a natural athlete who is insanely quick and stays low at all times while consistently playing elite on-ball defense. As only a freshman, she exhibited immense maturity while playing point guard for Sunset, especially against Jesuit's relentless pressure on the ball. Gallagher also is one of Sunset's best scoring options with a nice shot from deep and the ability to score around the rim. It will be exciting to watch as Gallagher continues to develop over the course of her high school career.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["832080"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"With the way that Buse is playing, it's hard to believe that she is only a freshman. She shows little weakness in her game, and has led West Linn as their point guard to a great 8-5 start and the #9 rank in the state in 6A. Buse has an impressive knack for intercepting passes, and she uses her speed to race to the other end and finish at the rim. She was voted West Linn High School's athlete of the week for her 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists against Barlow for the week of December 20th. She is also coming off of a monster week last week after putting up 21 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals against a good West Salem team followed by 22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals versus Westview. These are the type of stat-lines that Buse is putting up on a nightly basis, and if she keeps this up, West Linn will be in position to battle for a Three Rivers League title.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='837703' first='Nylah' last='Vanthom']","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"2027","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"null","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"12123","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"Banks","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_2_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Joining the reigning 3A state champion squad, [player_tooltip player_id='837703' first='Nylah' last='Vanthom'] is already fitting right in with Banks and making a name for herself while doing so. The young point guard has helped Banks to another strong start with an 11-4 record and the #6 spot in state. Vanthom had 10 points, including two big 3-pointers, in the Braves' narrow loss to Corbett, who is currently undefeated and #1 in 3A, and she also had 15 points in the win over 4A Scappoose and 15 points in a 3-point loss to Henley, the #1 team in 4A. Vanthom appears to be getting better with every game she plays, demonstrating a lot of maturity and the ability to handle pressure applied by opposing defenses. If Vanthom continues to improve at such a high rate, she will be a nightmare for opponents all over the state.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["832060"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Forest Grove is off to one of its best starts in years, and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='832060' first='Savannah' last='Dahl'] has played a huge role in this improved level of play for the Vikings. As a 5'11 shooting guard who can score from anywhere on the floor, Dahl is a tough matchup for just about anyone. In a few of their most recent games, Dahl had 14 points u002du002d including four 3-pointers u002du002d 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals against Hillsboro, and 15 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the conference win over Newberg. Her beautiful shot is one of the best that I have watched in person. When watching Dahl, perhaps the most impressive aspects of her game are the confidence and poise with which she plays, which made me shocked when I found out that she is only a freshman. Forest Grove will undoubtedly be a major threat in the postseason, and Dahl will likely be making them a contender for years to come.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["832542"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='832542' first='Anna' last='Bales'] is making her mark as one of the generational types of talent that don't come around very often. Crook County's coach said that she likely could have started for his squad for the past three years with the type of poise and fundamentals that she plays with. Through the Cowgirls' first 10 games, Bales led her team in points with 10.4 per game, assists with 4.5 per game, and was the second leading rebounder with 4.9 per game. Most impressive, however, are her steal numbers with an average of nearly 10 steals per game, including the game against Junction City in which she had a mind-blowing 21 steals all by herself. Bales has earned several all-tournament nods already and has had several games with chances of triple-doubles or even a quadruple-double. With the ability to do it all for her team, Bales is one of the 2027s that you will want to remember.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65a31b0c98ff8"} /-->
