This article is no different, talking about some of the biggest milestones in recent days in New Jersey: 1000 point scorers, new all-time leading scorers and so much more.
Ewing’s All-Time Leading Scorer: Rhian Stokes Rhian Stokes 5'8" | PG Ewing | 2024 State NJ (2024)
With three fantastic players that have all come up through the ranks at Ewing, it almost seemed written in the cards for one of them to eclipse Mya Stokes’ all-time scoring mark of 1,559 points. Sure enough, on Saturday, future Division I star Rhian Stokes Rhian Stokes 5'8" | PG Ewing | 2024 State NJ was the one to do it, scoring 22 points against South Brunswick to take the No. 1 spot with 1,561 points and counting. She’s been a fantastic player to watch and there’s still plenty of basketball left to be played this season.
1000 Career Points: Alivia Mauz Alivia Mauz 5'7" | PG Williamstown | 2025 State NJ – Williamstown (2025)
Reaching the 1000 point club is a massive honor for any high school player, but to be able to achieve the mark in less than three years’ time is quite impressive in itself. That’s exactly what Williamstown junior Alivia Mauz Alivia Mauz 5'7" | PG Williamstown | 2025 State NJ did, scoring 22 points against Timber Creek to get there. As she has gone, the Braves have gone, and after a bit of a rocky start, they’ve won seven-straight with Mauz averaging 17.7 PPG during this stretch.
1000 Career Points: Ella Kreuzer Ella Kreuzer 5'10" | SG Chatham | 2025 State NJ – Chatham (2025)
We didn’t have one, but two juniors reach the 1000 point mark within the last few days. Chatham junior Ella Kreuzer Ella Kreuzer 5'10" | SG Chatham | 2025 State NJ , a fantastic talent having a career year, now has another milestone knocked down, doing so against Summit on Jan. 25. She also recently reached 100 career three-pointers, which she accomplished against Randolph on Jan. 17. For someone averaging a few ticks under 20 points a game, she’s been an absolute revelation this season.
500 Career Rebounds: Debra Hill Debra Hill 6'1" | C Pingry | 2025 State NJ – Pingry (2025)
Pingry’s double-double machine hit an important milestone on the boards, 500 career rebounds after an impressive 16 rebound performance against Voorhees on Jan. 25. For context, that was her 10th double-double over the past 11 games and her 11th of the season. She has 21 in her career, but this season just seems like a completely different animal from her, having such consistency in scoring and rebounding, and it’s shown.
175 Career Three-Pointers: Cristina Parrella Cristina Parrella 5'10" | SG Saddle River Day | 2024 State NJ – Saddle River Day (2024)
Parrella seems to be knocking down threes at an astronomical rate for her career, and averaging well over two a game this season, she’s now reached 175 in her career, knocking on the door of 200, which she could very well hit before the end of the season. That’s certainly going to be a tough one, but it’s well within the cards for someone who’s already a member of the 1000 point club and already has 500 points in just her Saddle River Day career.
200 Career Three-Pointers: Reese Downey Reese Downey 5'7" | PG Absegami | 2025 State NJ – Absegami (2025)
175 is quite a lot of three-point baskets, but 200 in less than three years just seems unfathomable. However, Reese Downey Reese Downey 5'7" | PG Absegami | 2025 State NJ made the impossible more than possible as she reached the mark in just 69 career high school games, well on pace to break her single-season mark this year. She’s averaging 20 PPG this season and she’s hit 3.7 threes a game so far, just 13 away from her single-season record. Over her career, she’s averaged 2.9 made threes a game.
200 Career Steals: Taylor Hough Taylor Hough 5'7" | PG Kittatinny | 2025 State NJ – Kittatinny (2025)
Something must have happened in the lab while training this offseason because Hough has evolved from an elite-level defender in the NJAC to possibly the best defender in the conference and one of the best in the state. On Jan. 22, she eclipsed 200 career steals as a junior, currently at 221 through 60 games and an insane 105 steals in 16 games just this season. That’s 6.6 steals a game as a junior and 3.7 steals per game so far in her career.
100 Career Steals: Denay Jones – Morris Knolls (2025)
It’s definitely taken some time for Jones to hit this milestone, but the junior has shown significant growth as a defender over the past two seasons. Where she took some lumps as a freshman, immediately, she was a top-end defender as a sophomore, and that’s carried over immensely. With 110 in her career and counting, the sky is the limit to where she can take her game and if her defending can continue to result in big stops in big games for Morris Knolls.
