I just wanted to get a little creative and bring you some different, fun categories of players to talk about in the 2024 class. In this one, I focus on floor generals who act like an extension of their head coach on the floor. Are they the only ones? Absolutely not. But these five ladies stood out in my mind almost immediately when I thought of this category.

[player_tooltip player_id='176408' first='Lauren' last='Klem'], 2024, 5-1 PG, Franklin Community H.S.
- The 2024 group of Grizzly Cubs to go through Franklin has had success at all ages/levels. While she might not have the biggest scoring numbers, etc., maybe the most impactful of the bunch is Lauren. She is quick, fast, and extremely feisty. She understands how to take care of the ball, when to attack, and how to change speeds. She can shoot it with range, finish inside, plus she is an effortful and problematic on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='455943' first='Molly' last='Schulte'], 2024, 5-7 PG, South Spencer H.S.
- Molly really turned a corner last Spring & Summer as it concerns her confidence and assertiveness. She carried that over into the 2023-2024 season and did a nice job of leading her team. She is a capable shooter/scorer, and she increased those numbers this season, but she has always been a head-up, scan-the-floor type of point guard who can get her teammates the ball on time and on target. I like her as an athlete and a defender as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='326492' first='Mariah' last='Stoltzfus'], 2024, 5-2 PG, Bethany Christian H.S.
- Mariah has unfortunately struggled with health issues over the years, but when she has been available, she is a real problem for Bethany Christian opponents. She is quick and shifty, very good with the basketball, and she can go toe to toe with the best and not let down. She can make shots outside, and with range, but she is a facilitator first and foremost, plus she's a kid who teammates rally around when she brings the energy.

[player_tooltip player_id='369824' first='Lauren' last='Walsh'], 2024, 5-7 PG, Penn H.S.
- Lauren has really grown on me a lot over the past 6-9 months. She plays with a great deal of confidence and "swag", but she does a nice job of respecting her opponent/respecting the game, while also energizing and motivating her teammates. She is creative off the bounce, she can knock down jumpers off the dribble, and she is a feisty defender, whether she's on the ball or diving through passing lanes creating deflections/steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='177361' first='Reagan' last='Wilson'], 2024, 5-7 PG, Noblesville H.S.
- Reagan might be the ultimate floor general in Indiana basketball right now. She is always active and talkative, whether that's on the court or leading from the bench. She is tough-nosed, feisty, and will make any hustle play without giving it a second thought. In head-to-head matchups, she has taken on some of the state's absolute best and come out on top. She has done a really nice job leading Noblesville the last couple of seasons.
