Here are the Candidates for PGH Utah Ms. Basketball 2024. These candidates have a mixture of what they do individually and also what they are doing for their teams.
Ellie Taylor Ellie Taylor 5’10” | SG Copper Hills | 2024 State UT has the Copper Hills Grizzlies rolling. They not only took region but they did it with style. Tyalor is a dynamic guard that as some height at her position and although she plays the wing, she is truly a combo anything as she plays SF, PG and the Guard position as well. She is one of the best grab and go players in the state as she can get up and rebound and push the tempo. Her motor is always on and she plays at the defensive end as well. Taylor makes everyone around her better. She is at 1220 points and counting.
Tanuvasa has been a player that has been able to maximize her role and potential. Her growth in her basketball skills and game have really been impressive. She is a willing defender and she will defend the other teams best player regardless of position. Tanuvasa does a little bit of everything. She scores on the move, she can put the ball on the floor and do work and she can hurt you when she catches and shoots the ball. Rebounds well and she can play physical and finish through that contact. Tanuvasa has been a major game changer as they have been rolling through region play.
Skinner has been in her bag all year long. She is averaging over 24 PPG and has surpassed the 1,500 point mark already with 1 year to go. The way she impact the game on bot ends of the floor is remarkable. She can get toher spots with ease and her ability to create for herself and that separation she can create is very elite. Skinner is a three level scorer and one of the best in the country.
Hamlin is one of the more dynamic players in the state and although she is down south she is a big time baller. 4A is one of the best classifications in girls across the state. Hamlin is leading the state in scoring at 27 PPG and her team only has 1 loss heading to state. Her stat lines are ridiculous and she has surpased the 1,600 mark for scoring.
Highlights
We stick with the class of 2025 as it is loaded at the top and Taylor Harvey Taylor Harvey 6’3″ | SF Bountiful | 2025 State UT is among the best players in the state and she has size and talent that you can’t teach. Her IQ and her athleticism paired with a deep skill set is unreal. Harvey can run any position out on the floor. On any given trip she can be the PG or the big postiong up. She racks up blocks like crazy and her impact on the floor is crazy.
This girl puts her head down and works. She keeps the game simple and that has worked for her for the past four years. She is a player that you might know what she is doing but you still can’t stop her. She is a double-double machine and just plays the game the right way.
Nordstrom is electric and her on the ball pressure and long arms allow her to rack up steals and just pressure teams into tough plays. Nordstrom knows how to get to her mid-range and she uses that change of speed to get defenders off of her. She is quick off of the bounce and she just sees the game at a different speed than most people out on the floor.
