Class of ’27 Stock-Risers

Those four athletes have had a tremendous season so far! The athletes mentioned below are also making noise this season! The freshman class in WV is a good one! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='656290' first='Ava' last='Workman'] </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Workman's freshman season is one for every to take notice on. Yes, she averages in double figures and her stats are remarkable for a freshman. However, you don't need to look at stats when it comes to Ava. She has helped lead her team to an 18-4 record. Workman continues to make winning plays that set her a part! I think we will be seeing this young East team in the state tourney this year! Ava is definitely in the top 5 for the freshman class! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='722021' first='Jaycelyn' last='Sammons']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>According to MaxPreps, Sammons is averaging 14.7 points, 4.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 steals per game. When you look at a stat line like this, you know you are looking at a do-it-all athlete! Jaycelyn is a great on ball defender and she is also great at reading the passing lanes! If you are looking for a complete, all-around athlete, Sammons is the one! She has a game that translates to the next level! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='728687' first='Mika' last='Adams']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mika is a skilled athlete that knows how to get to the rim and finish! She has smooth handles and a nice euro step! Don't look at the point averages this season. She averages close to 3 steals per game. Adams is a menace on defense and she is going to make you work for every possession! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='731776' first='Bella' last='Fitzsimmons']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fitzsimmons is averaging 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game! She's another freshman that has an extremely high ceiling! Tremendous upside for this young athlete! Bella has put on quite the performances this year. She scored a career high of 25 points and led the team in scoring against Weir. Yes, she is 5'9 and she has great length to add to her size. I have no doubt that Bella will continue to be mentioned with the best of the freshman class! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='841598' first='Kasey' last='Rogers'] </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rogers and the entire East Fairmont team will out hustle you. She averages 1.4 steals a game! However, what doesn't show on the stat sheet is the deflections and the disruptive passes! She is a ball savvy player with a good understanding of the game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='728692' first='Quinn' last='Bunch']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Give me heart over height any day! This young guard will run through a brick wall for her teammates and her coach! An athlete with a non-stop motor that loves to play defense! Quinn is a poised guard that can definetely control a tempo of a game! She is one of the savviest that you will find! Did I mention that she is lethal from 3? Every single scouting report should say, "Do not leave [player_tooltip player_id='728692' first='Quinn' last='Bunch'] open!" </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>You will hear more about all of the athletes mentioned above!
