Nicholas County got the win on Monday night against Harrison County 54-25. Maggie Simons Maggie Simons 5’9″ | CG Nicholas County | 2027 State KY led the way with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and went 6/6 from the line. The Lady Jackets will meet Pendleton County for the 38th district title.

Layla Flynn Layla Flynn 5’7″ | PG Dunbar | 2027 State KY was nothing short of impressive in the 43rd district tournament. In the opening round against LCA she stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals leading Dunbar to victory 52-43. She followed that performance with 7 points, 8 rebounds and played lockdown defense in a tough loss to Lafayette last night 37-49. As the starting point guard Flynn led the Lady Bulldogs in rebounds, assists, and steals during the tournament.

Charlotte McCurry stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block as John Hardin squeaked past E-town 61-58. McCurry was named player of the game and the Lady Bulldogs advanced to the 17th district championship game for the first time since 2018, and will go up against North Hardin.
Darrington is putting in work in the postseason just like she did a year ago. She had a monster game last night in a big a win over Scott County 84-48. Darrington finished the game with 24 points, 14 boards, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks and became the first player in program history to reach 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds. Douglass will face the winner of Henry Clay and Bryan Station for the 42nd district championship.

Paducah-Tilman’s Myiesha Smith Myiesha Smith 5’5″ | PG Paducah Tilghman | 2026 State KY brought her “A” game in the semi-finals win against St. Mary’s. Smith dropped a 18 points and helped the Lady Tornado move on to the district 2 championship game against McCraken County tomorrow.
