Maggie had a monster season last year and is ready to take another step forward! She made 75 threes, averaged over 30 points and 10 rebounds, and knocked down 285 free throws at an 84.6 percent clip. Maggie was far more than a shooter. She was a double-double machine who controlled every game she played in. Nicholas County captured the 38th District Championship, and if Maggie has anything to say about it, they will claim it again this season!

WV Thunder 16U Spreen vs Next Level 16U 3SSB
Maggie is going to turn heads this AAU season! She was on target from deep, showing she can make spot-up and movement threes. She operated well from the high post with a tough ‘and-one’ bucket, and put her passing skills on display, dropping several dimes in the game.

is doing should be getting national buzz if you ask me. The 5’10 combo guard currently leads the state in scoring with 31.4 points per game. Maggie is a great kid and a high character player. Even though she is having a lot of individual success this season, her team playing well and winning games is what’s most important to her. I watched her game against Bracken County last week and what stood out to is how dynamic she is in the open floor and how good she is at finding driving lanes to attack. She is also much better at finishing through contact and has improved as a 3-point shooter. Maggie’s potential is undeniable and she is taking her game to new heights. (Featured Image)

In a region with one of the best seniors in the state and a nationally-ranked junior, fellow coaches in the region gave Simons the 3rd most votes for All-Region behind only those two upperclassmen. Everyone who watched Simons in the past recognized her potential, but she exceeded all expectations this season. On top of being a versatile defender, she is a tough 3-level scorer who can really fill up a stat sheet. She scored over 700 points and grabbed over 200 rebounds in her freshman season while helping her team to a 22-11 record.
