Vinson has been tremendous all season long, and solidified a great season for her team on Thursday securing a district championship. Coffee County finished 26-3 (10-0), with a top tier regular season resume. When you put scorers on the floor like Vinson, and Channah Gannon Channah Gannon 6’0″ | PF Coffee Co. | 2025 State TN , and Natalie Barnes Natalie Barnes 5’7″ | SG Coffee Co. | 2026 State TN , and Jules Ferrell Jules Ferrell 5’7″ | PG Coffee County Central | 2027 TN …..you’re going to win a lot of games.

The season Jules Ferrell Jules Ferrell 5’7″ | PG Coffee County Central | 2027 TN has put together has flown way under the radar. She’s a freshman that has walked right into the Coffee County lineup that’s 26-3, earned her role, and has thrived in it. She’s been a solid contributor all season long, and her upside is tremendous as we look down the road at her.

Richland (19-5) and currently ranked #4 in 1A, upset Loretto on Thursday in a game with tons of talent on the floor. Higgins continued her terrific overall play as she went for 16 on the night, and is now more than every seeing elevated numbers of gimmicks to get the ball out of her hands. She’s still at 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and averaging over 3 made threes a game. This win was a MAJOR statement win for Richland.

Richland’s Bailey Blair Bailey Blair 5’4″ | PG Richland | 2026 State TN is just a gamer. Night in and night up, the kid show’s up and fills whatever niche her coach ask’s. Guards the best player. Be a playmaker off Higgin’s double teams. Whatever it is, she can do it. She’s one of the favorite 1A players in the sate. She scored 16 in the win over Loretto.

Alysaya Smith
Alysaya Smith
Smith is only a ’28….but she’s good enough to help Webb down the stretch. She’s a strong guard that has a knack for getting down hill, absorbing contact, playing off two feet and making winning plays. She’s a big time perimeter defender, and another tool in the Webb tool box. In her first varsity action she had 5 points and 2 rebounds in the win. Look out for her…she’s going to be a good one.
The Weathers sisters were help to 12 a piece in Richland’s upset win over Loretto. Loretto has had a tremendous season, and has aspirations of the Glass House. When teams game-plan to take the Weathers’ girls out, what is plan B? This can be a good loss if they can figure out the answer to that question.
Karlie Campbell
Karlie Campbell
Karlie Campbell is a ’24 thats a legit under the radar baller this late in the season. She’s led Summertown two a 23-5 record, and again on Thursday put up 23 points in what is becoming simply typical numbers for her. Summertown is loading up to make some noise….and Campbell is holding the megaphone.
Meigs County has secured the #2 seed in their district, and has put together a really nice overall season. They have a nice mixture of upperclassmen with veteran experience and some youthful hoopers as well. Ainsley King Ainsley King 5’10” | SF Meigs Co. | 2026 State TN got going for 11 points in Thursday nights win, and I really like her overall upside as a double-double big that also stretches the floor to 3, and can attack off the bounds. Her skill set is really impressive.
Riggs is another piece of the Summertown puzzle that I really like. The kid is a sniper. She’s hit 77 three’s on the year, putting her only behind Sydney Mains Sydney Mains 5’11” | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2024 State TN (Mains is good at basketball sports) in the state in total made threes. She only averages 10 points per game, but thats fine–she stars in her role and she is TREMENDOUS at shooting the basketball….and they skill is a game changer is a make or miss sport.
On Thursday night, in a huge win over Polk, Bystry had a near triple double in extremely limited minutes: 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 steals as the Wild Kittens simply had no answer for Central’s pressure. Bystry continues to show glimpses of why she’s one of the best guards in the state, and just keeps improving.
Audrey Coulter
Audrey Coulter
Coulter, the senior from Donelson Christian Academy, signed with Suwannee this week extending her basketball career. Congrats to this kid! She hasn’t received much pub…but if you can play, you can play…..and college coaches are likely to find you.
Some kids (and parents) put the “hype train” on social media at the forefront of their basketball journey….when the they reality is that hype can’t cover up a lack of skill. Ultimately, priority number one is simply that: can you play? And Aurdrey Coulter can. Congrats kid!
