The Elite 8 has now been established in the Division II classification and talk about a phenomenal slate of matchups. There’s going to be some battles going on come friday. We will do a preview of these matchups, but for now, I want to give some shout out to some kids who had an amazing season.
Reghan Williams Reghan Williams 5'6" | PG Ezell-Harding | 2025 State TN (Jr./G/Ezell-Harding)– The lefty stuck it out and battled through injury to help lead her ball club. This kid is tough and has a sweet stroke from the field. She is a tenacious competitor and someone her team relied on nightly. Solid prospect who will continue to grow.
Danae Kennedy Danae Kennedy 6'0" | SG First Assembly Christian School | 2027 TN (Fr./G/FACS)– Announced her presence to the high school game. District MVP who played hard every possession. Two-way player who not only scored the rock, but was a beast on the defensive end as well.
Ella Johnson Ella Johnson 5'6" | SG Franklin Road Academy | 2028 TN and Ava Zenner Ava Zenner 5'7" | PG Franklin Road Academy | 2028 TN (8th graders/ Guards/ FRA)– Two foundational building blocks for a program. The 1-2 punch was one heck of a tandem, feeding off each other nightly. Multi-level scoring threats, these girls had a little sauce in their game where they could break you down to get to the cup or pull it from 3. If you slowed down one, the other got hot. Impressive season from two young up and coming stars.
Aubriyana Camp Aubriyana Camp 5'7" | SG Chattanooga Christian School | 2027 TN (Fr./G/ Chatt. Christian) and Kamore Moore (8th Grade/ G/ Chatt. Christian)- Another 1-2 punch that brought excitement to the stands. The ying and the yang, these girls were tough to compete with. Dropping buckets from the field at a consistent clip, they were active on the defensive end as well. Guard play from Scenic City looks on lock for the next couple of years with these two leading the forefront.
Bella Shepherd Bella Shepherd 5'6" | SG Lipscomb-Academy | 2026 State TN (So./G/ Lipscomb Academy)– Has a little version of Curry in her, she was pulling from all over the field. Coming off screens, attacking down hill, she helped lead her LA Mustangs down the stretch. The team was young this year. Look for them to bounce back after getting this experience under their belt. With Bella, anything is possible.
Nori Jamison Nori Jamison 5'5" | PG Ensworth | 2026 State TN (So./G/ Ensworth)– Took tremendous strides this season on being the floor general for the Lady Tigers ball club. Has incredible court vision, can score the rock, but facilitates the ball with the best of them. Had a sensational year and will look to build upon her success from this season.
Though these stellar players are out of the tournament this season, there are still some studs playing amongst this classification. Stay tuned to our preview of the Elite 8.
