Tali Sanders
Tali Sanders
Sanders has been repeatedly proving herself as one of the top shooters in the state. She made three or more 3-pointers in seven straight games, making her a huge reason why the Bowmen have such an excellent conference record. These nights included 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals against Forest Grove, and 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal versus McMinnville. The senior will be an X-factor for Sherwood in the postseason as they will continue to rely on her high level of play.
Karmen Perry
Karmen Perry
Lakeridge’s Karmen Perry has been a leader for the Pacers, and has some very good showings as of late. She was the star of the big rivalry game against Lake Oswego with 18 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block to secure the win, and she followed that up with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals for another key win over St. Mary’s Academy. Perry is a fabulous athlete, making big plays on the defensive end while also often running the point for her squad.
The sophomore phenom point guard is the team leader in points with 17.3, rebounds with 5.7, and steals with 3.0 per game. Mangan is also a great outside shooter, shooting over 35% from beyond the arc. She is an all-around stud who has been playing at a high level all year long, but she had a particularly huge game in the massive Metro League win over Jesuit last week with 23 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals while shooting over 50% from the field.
Ashley Wright
Ashley Wright
Looking at 3A, Ashley Wright has been having a big few weeks recently. In some massive performances, the power forward led her team with 21 points against McLoughlin and 26 points over Umatilla to help her team to two big Eastern Oregon League wins. The talented volleyball player is also one of the leading rebounders for the Hilanders. She has helped her team to a position with a chance to make a run at the postseason.
Jayda Jackson
Jayda Jackson
The guard has been one of the top players for the Rams for years, and her senior season has been no exception. She had 19 points, 5 boards, and 5 steals in the conference win over David Douglas, and she knocked down four 3-pointers on her way to 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist against a very good Nelson team. These have been typical performances of the excellent shooter and all-out hustle player in conference play lately.
