Andover’s three-headed scoring monster struck again and led the Trojans to a victory over the Mustangs to improve their season record to 19-0.
Here is a look at five prospects who caught my attention in this contest.
Aliyah Green Aliyah Green 6'0" | PF Andover | 2025 State KS , 6’0”, PF, Andover, ‘25
Green had a dominant second half and was way more impressive in this game than she was in December against Eisenhower. She recorded a double-double collecting 10 rebounds and scoring 14 points. All of her baskets came off dribble drives, bunnies in the paint, or on put backs. If she wants to score at the college level she will need to make a jump shot more often or coaches will shut her one dimensional game down. She is ranked No. 8 among her Kansas Class of 2025 peers. Green is getting looks from Division I programs and is likely headed in that direction.
Brooke Walker Brooke Walker 5'8" | CG Andover | 2024 State KS , 5’8”, CG, Andover, ‘24
Walker is a solid scoring threat and plays defense like a mercenary. She had a rough shooting first half against the Mustangs but put the team on her shoulders during the second half. She finished with a game-high 17 points shooting 7-of-17 from the field. She converted on three 3-point field goals, enjoys driving, and can still stop and pop from four feet out. She is the No. 2 ranked player in the Prep Girls Hoops Kansas Class of 2024. She has committed to play basketball for the Utah Utes.
Alana Shetlar Alana Shetlar 6'1" | PF Andover | 2024 State KS , 6’1”, PF, Andover, ‘24
Sheltar, who has committed to playing basketball at Oral Roberts University was impressive once again. In the December contest, she finished with 11 points four rebounds, and one blocked shot. Against Salina Central she was a much larger factor on the glass, finishing with seven boards. All 11 of her points came early in the game when Walker was struggling to get out of the gate. She made one 3-point basket and blocked two shots. She can score from anywhere on the court. Salina Central did not have a post who could stop her, but the Green and Walker did the majority of the scoring in the second frame.
Bella Bouddhara Bella Bouddhara 5'7" | PG Andover | 2027 State KS , 5’7”, PG, Andover, ‘27
I’m not sold that the freshman guard is really 5-foot-7, but she is fast, gritty, and is going to score a bunch of points and distribute lots of assists by the time her high school career is over. She had a much better game at home than she did on the road in December. She takes care of the ball and scored five points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field.
Callan Hall Callan Hall 5'4" | PG Salina Central | 2024 State KS , 5’4”, PG, Salina Central, ‘24
The one player for Salina Central that I would recommend to college coaches is the Mustang’s senior point guard. Hall is super quick and plays with a poise. She scored five points in the loss. She was a perfect 2-for-2 from the floor and converted on 3-of-4 free throw attempts. Every player in Andover’s starting five was taller than Hall, but she battled and was not afraid to take contact. Any NAIA coach in Kansas looking for an unselfish backup point guard should take a look at Hall.
