Continue ReadingThe 2026 class is now coming into their own and its not uncommon to see a lot of Sophomores move around in the rankings. A lot of players “upped” their games and made great improvement between their Freshman and Sophomore seasons. In this article, we look at some of the biggest movers in the 2026 rankings.
Julianna Baskin Julianna Baskin 6’2″ | PF Providence | 2026 State FL had a monster Sohomore season and help take Providence to the Final 4 in Lakeland this season in Division 3A. Baskin was special all season, basically averaging a double-double (10.6 points and 9.7 rebounds). She was a clutch performer who played her best when the game was on the line. Baskin was a force on both ends of the court. She rebounded on both ends of the floor and she blocked shots and challenged a lot more. Looking forward to seeing her this summer and seeing how a competitive summer translates to her Junior season next year.
Casey O’Connell Casey O’Connell 6’0″ | PF Canterbury | 2026 State FL is another bigtime Stock Riser in the 2026 rankings. O’Connell was named the player of the year in her District. No surprise with the skillset that O’Connell has. She can shoot the three, score in the midrange, and is versatile to defend on the inside and outside as well. O’Connell was a special player last summer and that carried over to her Sophomore season. Looking forward to seeing her this travel period.

Terrell McCoy Terrell McCoy 6’0″ | PF Bolles | 2026 State FL made a big time move up the rankings, just the way she did on the floor this season. McCoy provided the Bulldogs with an inside presence and McCoy did a great job as a Sophomore playing with teammates for the first time. She rebounded well, scored well on the inside, and did what was asked her on the court. She played with great physicality, she competed, and more than held her own against some of the top forwards in the State. McCoy has great hands, great feet, and is only going to get better. She has already received a major offer (George Washington University) and likely many more will come this summer.
Cami Waters Cami Waters 5’9″ | SF Creekside | 2026 State FL made some great strides this season in the basketball department and even more in the leadersghip department. The young forward is special in transition and has a patented floater that she uses to punish defense. Waters also is a very good defender who can defend multiple positions. She is a very good rebounder for a small forward. One of her specialties is also blocking shots. Waters had a very good Sophomore season and looking to see her this summer.

Ellieyana Wallace Ellieyana Wallace 5’10” | PF Palm Bay | 2026 State FL made a significant rise in the rankings. Wallace is very good on the inside with very good footwork and a toughness on the inside. She has the ability to hit the glass and gets her share of offensive rebounds and put-backs. Wallace has the ability to score and even had a 15 point game this season. She does a good job of running the floor, filling the lanes, and putting the ball in the basket.
