Coming soon, coverage from the regionals from around parts of Ohio, then Angie and I will be at the state championship weekend in Dayton!
Remains at #6. For being a freshman and playing on likely the most talented team in Ohio, Samaya is making the most of her chances. While the offense goes through the likes of Alexander, Miller and Mosley, Samaya’s game has improved as the season as progressed. She gets about 5 shots per game and is shooting close to 60% while averaging just under 7 points per game. She is strong physical force who looks to continue to grow her game. I am looking forward to likely seeing her at the regional level next week and beyond.
A lot will be told as she heads into her pre-sophomore summer, but Abbie had quite a freshman season for Green. She is able to score in a variety of ways and posed a problem for everyone she competed against this season. She had several high scoring games and her height allows her to control the boards. Can’t wait to see her continue to improve!! She is ranked #7 moving up from the watch list.
Layla sits at #8 in our first fill 2027 rankings. Booth has a very high ceiling! She is a big-time threat on both ends of the court, her length agility court, vision, and high athletic sets her apart from many! Strong footwork knows how to finish strong inside and capitalizes at the free-throw line. She is a difficult task for opponents.
Highlights
Addy is currently ranked #9 in the state, and she had a very productive season for a team likely considered among the top 2 D1 teams in Cincinnati. She started for the Mason Comets and helped to lead them to the conference title. She is an athletic player with a solid perimeter game. Very smart player with a good basketball IQ, she also has good court vision and makes good decisions.
Rounding out the top 10 is Regan, who at 5’4 can affect the game in so many ways. She is small in stature but large in heart and effort, she can play the game against anyone and won’t back down. Physical kid who is a deadly perimeter shooter and looks to have a bigtime summer! Some of the coaches who refuse to recruit the smaller players will regret not considering her!
