Makes the jump from six to number three in our latest rankings as her interest and attention continues to grow with all of the major college coaches. She is a strong, physical force, not only in the paint, but also on the perimeter, she can really do it all and just keeps getting better and better. She has solid footwork, can finish at the rim with both hands and plays a game at a completely different level.

What a great junior season this young lady had, as she kept the tradition of success going at Purcell Marian. Samaya is a very strong solid P4 kid who can be a dominant force on the floor. She averaged a double double including over 22 points per game, drawing a lot of defensive attention. 

Wilkins’ game is sensational, and her frame- well, good luck keeping her off the boards and from scoring! Her focus is on catching the ball, and from there her athleticism takes over! Samaya has been the one all season that gets Purcell Marian going, and she’ll be the go-to again next season. She finished today’s game with 17 points, 7-9 from the charity stripe, and 17 rebounds. What a force this young lady has become! They lost so much talent from their four-time state championship team, and it’s “next girl up” as Samaya has taken the reigns as the leader. She is a major D1 recruit, controls the paint, rebounds, and can defend with her length. She can score on you in multiple ways, her time is now!

Her game has really progressed and now becomes much more into the spotlight at Purcell Marian. She is the enforcer in the paint, strong physical frame, where she can score at ease. But if you leave her alone, she can do so much more. She steps out and can knock it down from the three. Shot blocker, deflects a lot and is able to defend the paint with her length. She is the perfect fit on this team to be a major contributor against the Indiana squad! You can’t stop her.

So much you can say about Wilkins’ game- and why she’s highly recruited! Love her soft touch around the rim and how she can just lay the rock in with control. Anytime she has the ball, she takes multiple defenders with her. Samaya’s frame and physicality elevates her post moves and all around defense- absolute terror! (Below on defense)  

Wilkins is an exceptional player who has attracted many Division 1 scholarship offers! The growth she’s made from her freshman year to now- not only in confidence, but her overall game is a sight to see! The highly sought after center had a fantastic summer with several D1 offers! Wilkins is a double- double machine! You do not want to get into a physical match up with her. A certified bucket anywhere near the paint, terrific footwork, and her outlet passes to the guards have zing!
