The 6A girls basketball state championship game is set for Friday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Macon Coliseum, and it will feature two of the best teams in the state: No. 3 Marist (29-1) and No. 2 North Forsyth (31-0). Both teams have been unstoppable throughout the season, and they are eager to claim the title as State Champions.
Marist has been crushing its opponents. The War Eagles have a balanced offense that can score from inside and outside. Marist’s defense has been equally impressive, holding opponents to under 30 points per game and forcing turnovers at a high rate. Marist have not allowed more than 40 points in any game this season.

She also has great control finishing over her defender at the rim. She has a good feel for the game as she always seems to be in the right place at the right time on both sides of the ball. She can also dribble and make a play for her teammates as well.

is a great knockdown shooter who is constantly moving to get herself open. She is also active on defense pressuring opponents full court and often coming up with steals. She plays with a good pace and is an exceptional passer as well.
Both teams are hungry for to win the championship after excellent seasons. The game promises to be a high-level matchup between two talented and experienced teams that have been dominant all season.
