Campbell County All-Star Game (Middle School)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The all-star event was held at Jacksboro Middle School on 3/19. The future talent in the gym was fun to watch! Team Blue won 51-28. Team Blue included: Taylin Lane, Jaycie Morgan, Karlie Allen, Sophia Lay, [player_tooltip player_id='875514' first='Kendall' last='Duncan'], [player_tooltip player_id='875441' first='Addy' last='Coleman'], &amp; Elisabeth Zachary. Team red included: Taylor Marlow, Jatya Lane, Myah Sharp, Khloe Johnson, Ellie Faulkner, Maddie Pike, Ann Marie Long, and Emalee Sexton! She filled up an entire stat sheet! Duncan has great length that she uses extremely well! She had numerous deflections, blocked shots, and steals! Kendall was automatic from the corner too. You definitely do not want to leave this one open in the mid-range. She is a rebounding machine! She also has a soft touch around the rim where she finishes good! Zachary was able to alter and block numerous shots. She did a great job positioning herself! She is a fundamentally sound athlete that is going to continue to grow and improve in all aspects of her game. It is hard to believe that Addy is only in the 7th grade. One thing that I noticed right away was how Addy has the u0022it factoru0022 and understands the game! She makes impactful plays on both ends of the court! You can tell that she is not going to back down from any challenge or obstacle thrown at her. She was on the floor getting balls, she was tying up others for jump balls, and she was good on both sides of the court! Addy was able to attack the paint numerous times and score. You got it right! It was Karlie Allen. Karlie finished with a game high of 16 points. She is not afraid to pull the trigger anywhere behind the 3 point line. She drilled in numerous three point shots with range! One thing about Allen is that she can score in a variety of ways and she can score fast! She doesn't need much time at all to make a decision. One thing that I do love about Pike's game is how her eyes are up as soon as she gets the ball. She was able to score in numerous ways. She was able to get to the rim and she was able to knock down a few long balls. Maddie plays with great confidence on both sides of the court. She's a physical guard! It was fun to watch Sharp nail 3 after 3. The point guard is not one that you want to leave open. You can tell that Sharp is a streaky shooter. When she gets hot, she gets hot fast! I think she made 4 or 5 in a row at one point during the contest. During the game, she was a solid defender! She didn't take many 3's during the all-star game, but she was able to attack downhill nicely to score!
