Always 100 has grown to be one of the biggest programs in the Midwest in terms of total teams and players. For the 5th consecutive year, I attended their individual player showcase on Sunday. The event had two sessions, with close to 80 prospects in the morning session and close to 60 prospects in the afternoon session. Below is a look at one last handful of girls who I felt stood out during the afternoon session in Fort Wayne.

Red
– Aubrey is a quick, fast, gritty, seemingly fun to watch little guard who always plays with a nice motor. Like any kid, there are obviously things to work on skillfully, but she always seems to play hard and enjoy herself out there. As she continues to learn the game, changing speeds when she approaches ball screens and turns corners could really help her split gaps better. I also like how she will get into her opponent defensively and force them to speed up.

Next Level
– When Ashley was younger, you could see the potential to her game, but she needed to finish growing and add some strength. That time has come, and she is piling up consistent game after consistent game, whether it be for DeKalb or her Next Level team. She is a good perimeter shooter and fluid athlete off the bounce, but she can also handle the ball and run offense when needed. She is long and wiry, and she can really defend as well.

– Marley is a part of a nice, young nucleus at McCutcheon who helped the Mavericks to a 10-win improvement from 11-12 last year to 21-5 this season. She kind of gives you that Strawberry Shortcake appearance, then goes out and plays with a competitive fire. She is an active and athletic rebounder who likes physicality, but she also shows really nice skill in the mid-post. She is starting to be more comfortable around the perimeter as well.

– Kamri is one of those kids who is difficult to label by a position, because she’s able to go out and do a little of everything fairly well. She is a strong, tough-nosed, and aggressive ballplayer, for starters. She can handle it a little and run offense, she can get downhill and score at the basket, and her touch is improving outside. She is a willing rebounder and will mix it up with “bigs”, plus she can defend three positions effectively.
Janaya Cooper, 2028, 5-10 SF,
Always 100
Elite 3SSB 14U
– While we won’t formally address the 2028 class until the Fall, with our PGH Freshman Showcase and inaugural rankings for 2028 at that time, I did want to point out Janaya. She is a long, wiry-strong, fluidly athletic prospect with some bounce to her. She is a worker and is putting in the time to work on her skillset. Right now, she is able to affect games athletically with her talent, and she can dominate at times against her peers. She will attend Fort Wayne Snider.
