Adaline Sheplee Adaline Sheplee 6'2" | CG Rice Lake | 2026 State WI
The top of the 2026 class has a ton of talent, and Sheplee is among that top group. She’s been with Team Wisconsin for multiple years and excelled there. However, of the batch of kids that moved to Flight this season, Sheplee is the most talented and may even be the most talented in the program now, with the 2024 class heading off to college. The 6-3 wing has guard skills, elite athleticism, ridiculously high motor, and as much versatility as you’ll find in a player. She’ll catch the eyes of high-major programs by being herself. The athletic plays that she can make will draw attention from everyone in the gym. There’s not much about her game that people won’t like.
An injury kept Werfal out of Nike Nationals last summer, where her Flight team nearly made a run to the Final Four. However, in her freshman season, Werfal was among the most impressive 2027s in the state. She was the focal point of Appleton North’s offense and was a significant reason the Lightning finished in the top half of the FVA. She’s a talented wing scorer with some funky movement. Her shot also looks a little weird, but with the rate Werfal’s shot goes in at a high clip, defenses will take her seriously from the tip. She’ll also space the floor well beyond the three-point line. Werfal will punish teams that don’t come out far enough to contest her. There’s a world where a handful of schools fall in love with her shooting, as they should.
Melia Lemorande Melia Lemorande 6'0" | SF Bay Port | 2026 State WI
Lemorande’s sophomore season was robbed last July by a freak volleyball injury. Due to her missing this season, I don’t think enough people understand how good she was last summer. Lemorande was arguably the best-performing player at any age level. She probably shot close to 50% from the 3-point line, and I don’t think that’s an exaggeration. The Bay Port native hit contested off-the-dribble threes, catch shoot off her off-ball movement and showed her ability to use the threat of her shooting to get to the basket and finish in traffic. I’m a noted massive fan of hers, and once she returns this AAU season, she could catch the eyes of coaches.
I’ve become a bigger fan of Litza the more I see her play. No matter when I watch her play or the setting she’s playing in, it looks like she’s playing with her friends in an open gym. Nothing has ever seemed to faze her, and the confidence she plays with exemplifies that. Teams have rarely gotten her flustered and forced her to turn the ball over, and that’s led to her team being as efficient offensively as anyone in D2. Her ability to create and handle the ball was crucial in Tosa East’s run to state this season, and that pressure of getting to state and beating some talented teams to get there, like always, didn’t seem to affect her in the slightest. Once coaches continue to see her play, they’ll probably like her more and more.
