Today, I transition to the Class of 2026 and have provided a quick look at five of the top 3-point scorers coming off impressive sophomore seasons.
Asia Lee Asia Lee 5'9" | CG Olathe North | 2026 State KS , 5’9”, CG, Olathe North
Lee was one of the top scorers in the state averaging 19.2 points per contest. A large chunk of those points came off of 3-point field goals. The Olathe North Eagle converted on 62 total 3-pointers and shot an impressive 40 percent from deep. She is quick and can create shots off the dribble as well.
Emmerson Kirk, 5’5”, CG, Bucklin
Kirk can play either guard position. She finished her sophomore season scoring 13.7 points and dishing out 4.2 assists per game. The Bucklin sophomore made 47 three-point field goals in 22 games played for the Red Aces.
Layla Kisner Layla Kisner 5'5" | PG Southwestern Heights | 2026 State KS , 5’6”, CG, Southwestern Heights
Another combo guard from a western Kansas school was a proficient scorer from deep. Southwestern Heights’ Kisner scored 16.7 points per game for the Mustangs. She was successful on 42 baskets from 3-point range.
Kaeleigh Daniels, 5’1”, PG, Erie
Daniels played 21 games at the varsity level and ten junior varsity games. She finished with a total of 40 three-point field goals in varsity action and made two more in JV games. Daniels prefers to shoot from distance as she made just 13 field goals inside 3-point range.
Sevy Wurtz Sevy Wurtz 5'6" | CG Clifton Clyde | 2026 State KS , 5’6”, PG, Clifton-Clyde
Wurtz is a three-sport athlete who could make serious waves the next two seasons. She competes in Track & Field, and is the libero on the Clifton-Clyde’s volleyball team. She finished with a scoring average of 18 points per game on the hardwood. She made 36-of-98 field goal attempts from 3-point range. Wurtz is fast and can also score in transition.
