Here are a few standouts from Saturday’s games.
Imari Berry Imari Berry 5'10" | SG Clarksville | 2024 State TN (Sr./G/ Clarksville)– One more run at the state before she moves onto the collegiate ranks. Imari was hard to stop as she dropped 25 points from the field. This young lady is hot and she is ready to get back to the state where a title eluded her last year.
Emily Patterson Emily Patterson 5'11" | PF Cleveland | 2027 TN (Fr./F/Cleveland)– She only had 5 points from the field, but they were clutch and right on time. Emily was on the boards, drew a tough defensive assignment in Aaiyanna Dunbar Aaiyanna Dunbar 6'2" | C Blackman | 2024 State TN , and held her own. The freshman stepped up big-time in a huge game. Every year, this matchup determines the state representative and the girls were ready for this game.
Reese Beaty Reese Beaty 5'8" | PG York Institute | 2025 State TN (Jr./G/ York Institute)– She’s tough. Too much to handle. What Reese does that others don’t do is she makes everyone around her better. This past Saturday, she not only elevated her team, she took responsibility and put them on her back. She dropped 41 points in the win, talk about someone on fire. The Clemson commit is ready to go dancin in the Glass House. Look for her and the Lady Dragonettes to make some serious noise.
Molly Masingale Molly Masingale 5'9" | SF McMinn Co. | 2024 State TN (Sr./G/ McMinn Central)– She’s cold. The Wofford signee is a dynamic scoring threat that has had a stellar high school basketball career. She dropped 20 pts against Alcoa, she was just cookin’ the competition. From 3, from the paint. You name it, the ball found the bottom of the net at a high clip. Her team returns to the Glass House and she is ready to help her club lift up that trophy.
The state tournament tips off tomorrow on the campus of MTSU. The Glass House will be rockin as teams look to advance towards that championship games. Teams have started to arrive early to get one last practice in and gather their bearings around Murfreesboro. This is a sweet time for all and a place that some players never get to.
