This Event featured some of the premier girls’ grassroots traveling programs. Prep School, D2, D3, NAIA, and Junior college coaches were also in attendance. Here are some of the stand outs from Sunday, April 14th.
Trinity Davis
Trinity Davis
Trinity Davis is a two-way player for sure. She transitions from offense to defense effortlessly. Her IQ and court vision show well. She knows when to pull up and when to dish it. Great shooting form and shot fake. I would give her the green light from 3 if she was on my team. Trinity is a tough defender and an aggressive play maker. Trinity stood out in both of the games I watched her play. She hit a big 3 towards the end of the game vs SSNC to bring her team within two. BYF is a classy well coached team.
Halle Onyekonwu
Halle Onyekonwu
Halle Onyekonwu has a great low post presence. She knows how to get position down low so her teammates can find her with confidence. She draws a lot of fouls and makes her free throws. She has a great form and touch from the line. Halle sets quality screens and also runs a smooth screen and roll to the basket and will kick it back out when doubled. She will defend the basket well with shot blocking ability. BYF is a classy well coached team.
Diavian Robinson and Christina Gibson are a great guard combo. This dynamic duo controlled the game from start to finish. They both can beat their defenders and get to the paint easily and draw fouls. Diavian went 6-8 from the line and Christina 2-2. These two are very disruptive on defense which helped their team pull away in the second half with fast break points after creating turnovers.

Highlights
Faith Trotter was the tallest player on the floor. She played both sides well. She also ran the break well with the ball in her hands. What impressed me the most was she had no problem putting the ball on the floor with her great handles and her smooth touch from three. She went 3-4 from beyond the arc in the first half until the other team figured she was a long-range shooter. Defensively very solid guarding a stronger player and will block shots in every game she plays. Faith is one to keep your eye on.
Morgan Williams is a scoring machine. She is hard to stop driving to the hoop. Morgan’s 7 points in the first half and 7 points in the second half secured her team a W in a close physical game against BYF. Not only can she score but she hustles for loose balls and has a passion for winning.
