Bouie grabbed my attention a few weeks ago at the Lady’s First Invitational and left a lasting first impression yet what she showed last night was that she is going to not only be “in the mix” but I’m almost ready to drop that #D1Lock on her, okay I’m ready. She’s long and athletic yet her explosiveness off the dribble, playing the passing lane as well as “on the ball” baseline to baseline pressure were all good

Gurrola has that “IT” factor and showed she understood the meaning of “the game starts at the 1”. Her court vision, both in the set as well as in transition wowed as she keeps her head up to see the floor. She played the passing lane, did a good job defensively and hit the boards yet her numerous spin moved to get to the basket were very nice, so was her pull-up jumper

Ademuwagun has an advantage because she watched older sister Tobi destroy teams, I probably mentioned that in my initial article on her yet as good as she was a few weeks ago, she’s even better than what I saw and her first step creates problems a plenty. She blows by defenders to score, nice body control helps after contact yet her court vision also stood out. The jumper is solid, s is her “on the ball” defense
Larkin Johnson
Larkin Johnson
Johnson sold me in about 2 minutes not only because she’s a “long and athletic” guard that applies heat on both ends of the court, her reading the floor and played that passing lane was a big plus. She not only saw the floor but her blistering passes in traffic on the money, with either hand was enough yet she had more. Her first step is nice, she got to the rim wit ease and finished after contact
Lila Sepulado
Lila Sepulado
Sepulado crossed the state line from Louisiana to join this talented squad and she made impact as soon as she stepped on the court. Let me start with her “playing up” and handling the heat yet on the flip she scored off the dribble as well as from mid to long-range. Just as impressive was her ability to catch and shoot while being defended
