Abby Nellums
Abby Nellums
Nellums is an athletic guard with good court vision in the set as well as in transition. She attacked the basket strongly and finished after contact but she also dropped it from outside. I was overly impressed with her dropping the 3-ball showing the “catch and shoot” and her “on the ball” defense was solid
London Moore
London Moore
Moore gave me a lot MORE each time I caught her and when you factor in she’s an athletic guard that applies heat on both ends and she falls into that #sizedontmatter group because she can play, her upside is pretty good. She did a good job defensively baseline to baseline but she also showed she could attack and finish, body control was nice
Zoe Whitaker
Zoe Whitaker
Whitaker made my Tip Sheet from the #simmiecolsonclassic and my exact words were I’m almost ready to drop #D1Lock on her. Well fast forward a week late and I’m ready because she things you can’t teach and her basketball IQ is ahead of her years. Just as impressive was you had high school players from other teams coming to see her
Kae’Dence McClain
Kae’Dence McClain
McClain was a surprise for me in more ways than one. I just wrote about her sister Mikaela a few days ago and I mentioned I had watch their aunts doing damage for Elsik yet I was chatting with her grandfather and he brought up to speed. Speed is the right word because she’s fast and under control with the ball, good court vision and can get to the basket and score. She also played solid defense and plays the passing lane
Jayde Joseph
Jayde Joseph
Joseph has size and plenty of upside yet watching her go AFTA the ball off the rim was nice because she did it instinctively. She also showed she could score around the basket as well as defend both in and outside the paint
Asheley Diaz
Asheley Diaz
Diaz is heady and showed both the HEZ and a deceptive first step to get by defenders yet her body control on her finishes were nice, so was her court vision. She understands how to split the defenders as well as create her shot from outside and knock it down. She gets the cover because she was hard to cover
Rachel Adenikepum
Rachel Adenikepum
Adenikepum is “long and athletic” and that will always be the base yet what I enjoyed was her understanding positioning to get rebounds, which she did on bot ends. She also did a good job attacking the basket from the wing, interior defense needs to be mentioned as well as her playing the passing lane
