<p>Another grueling season of high school hoops across the Hoop State is in the books. But as basketball aficionados know, the ball does not stop bouncing solely after the crowning of state champions. </p>

<p>The 2023-24 preps season has transitioned into another AAU season and one of the premier travel organizations in North Carolina is primed and ready to take to the court once again. </p>

<p>That organization is [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars']. Led by coach Ty Cox and based in Durham, the organization will field four teams over the next several months. Among those teams will be a 17U team that will compete as part of the NE2K League. </p>

<p>Without further adieu, here is a look at that team. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='617126' first='Jayla' last='Hicks']</strong> – The NC GBB Academy is well-represented on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 17U NE2K roster. Hicks played this past season for NC GBB Academy's national team. Hicks stands at 5-foot-5. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='762008' first='Sarra' last='Abdelbarr']</strong> – Abdelbarr is the lone representative from Durham Academy on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 17U NE2K roster. This past season, she played in 26 games for the Cavaliers and averaged 10.6 points and 4.2 rebounds. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1097196' first='Bre' last='Perry']</strong> – Perry is another of the standouts from the NC GBB Academy that will be part of the team. She transferred from 2A Washington and averaged 23 points in the 14 games that she played. </p>

<p><strong>Keysha Mizzell</strong> – Mizzell is playing up in class and is one of two 2026s on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 17U NE2K roster. She averaged 13.5 points and 2.5 steals per game in the 26 games that she played for 3A Rocky Mount. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='875271' first='Quincie' last='Toran']</strong> – Toran put together a stellar season for 4A Athens Drive. In the 26 games she played for the Jaguars she averaged 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.4 steals. Toran also plays lacrosse. </p>

<p><strong>Eliza Everett</strong> – Everett has a full athletic plate. Along with basketball, she has also competed in lacrosse, volleyball and soccer. Everett averaged a double-double of 11.5 points and 11.3 rebounds along with 4.2 steals for a St. David's team that finished with a 21-6 record. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='828531' first='Britni' last='Silver']</strong> – Silver is the third representative from NC GBB listed on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] 17U NE2K roster. She is a multi-sport athlete who also plays softball and volleyball alongside her basketball exploits. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='515575' first='Adason' last='Buoniconti']</strong> – Nicknamed “Coco,” she was part of a 4A Lake Norman team that finished with a 26-3 record (12-0 conference) and made a deep run in this past season's state tournament.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='331363' first='Justice' last='Zimmerman']</strong> – Zimmerman has been a staple of the [program_tooltip program_id='714756' first='Carolina' last='All-Stars'] program for the last several seasons. The fourth representative from the NC GBB Academy, she has played at the varsity level since the eighth grade. She averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds last season. </p>
