Video is huge in basketball and the basketball recruiting world. We’ve all seen hoops film or video go viral. Well, here are some recent guards with video that I think could go viral. Scouts and coaches will definitely want to tune in to see what’s below!
Arico is one of the most talented prospects in the midwest. This film shows her ability to pass with precision and defend. Arico throws a couple of touch passes over the top and also angles a bounce pass on the baseline to pick up an assist. Defensively, you can see her create turnovers with ball pressure as well as step in and take a charge. Arico can be seen scoring in traffic at the rim as well.
During high school season we saw Zinn establish herself as elite scorer statewide. She showed that she can flat out control the flow of a game on the offensive end. A big reason for that is the fact that Zinn is a knock down shooter that can bury a triple anywhere along the arc. This video a nice example of what she brings to the table.
Highlights
Dottery is an exciting talent here in Michigan. She’s dedicated to her improvement and it shows on a game by game basis. This film shows how creative and athletic she can be when scoring around the rim. Dottery can make the tough shot look easy with terrific ball and body control. You can also see her top notch defense creating turnovers and it leading to instant offense for herself and her teammates.
Highlights
Moorehead is a tremendous guard talent. This film shows her ability to attack the rim using both hands and with strength and physicality. Moorehead finds her lane to the rim and owns it. You can also see her comfort and effectiveness with shooting off the catch. Moorehead’s court vision is very obvious in this film as well. She sees the entire floor and can put the ball on a dime.
Gaydosh is a terrific young prospect that scouts and coaches will want to be very familiar with. She creates good looks at the rim in so many ways. Gaydosh can change speeds and uses a nice little hesitation dribble as well as a pass fake or look away to get a high percentage look at the rim. She shows a dangerous jumper as well as the ability to get points off put backs.
