Really like this PG. Right to left crossover into a mid range pullup is TOUGH. SHOOTER! She kid is a legit 3 level scorer. Makes the right reads off ball-screens, and if you drop coverage her…she’s pulling. Nice vision as a passer. Does a great job boxing out as a guard. Highly competitive. Really nice defensive intensity

Guarded Hurst and did a great job. Opening play went straight to the back screen for a lob they’ve been setting for her. Smart player that exploited the switch when it was there. Created extra opportunities on the glass. Anytime she found a switch and Hurst wasn’t guarding her, she was attacking the rim. Never really got going, but continued to impact the game with her athleticism and length. Felt like she never got going….but has to have 15 and 15.

Loved this kids hustle creating extra possessions. Nice mid range game. Winning player that makes winning plays. They ran multiple out of bounds sets to get her open in the mid range and she cashed it in every time. Super efficient player. Made a PRETTY PASS to a cutting Okolo where she caught and passed in the same jump.
Nice float game. Hits the 3. High level scorer. Constantly looking to put pressure on the defense without ever forcing the issue.

High level defender they used to come in and guard Brewer. Real difference maker defensively. Heady player on offense that was a nice “connector” that simply made the right play. Played big minutes down the stretch as Cox was in foul trouble.
Has the chance to be super. Great body and and moves well for a big. Needs to improve her hands, and she’ll really increase her scoring opportunities at the rim. Incredibly high upside.
Maybe the best on the ball defender I’ve seen here. Phoenix let her pickup full court, and she was going to make you earn every inch. Offensively showed flashes with some explosive spin moves into acrobatic finishes. Really high upside. Really smart cutter. Made some high level passes vs the press. Continues to be quietly really good.
Played excellent D. Turned turnovers into points. High level passer…Is a really nice scorer at the HS level, and just hasn’t gotten going yet in this tourney. She was on the floor 80% of the game though, so you know she has her coach’s trust.
Missed her first 3 and started to hesitate…..SHOOTERS SHOOT! Finally got one with 7:00 left to pull them within 4. Really impressive on the ball defense. Did a nice job collapsing the D off the bounce and kicking to shooters. Hit another bit 3 to cut it to 23-21. I thought she got too hesitant.
She stayed confident and poised though. Hit big FTs down the stretched. Brewer is just a winner.
Just a really headsy player that fits in well as a “connector” with this group. Created multiple scoring just by her cuts. Hit a big time 3. I really like this kid’s competitiveness. Big time player.

Hurst had a tough time finding anything on offense, but did a great job defensively on Okolo. Hurst got going with 10:00 left when she started attacking the rim and getting loose out in transition. Scored 6 straight to give them a 28-25 lead with 8:00 to play. Really started to take over. Blocked a 3 and went coast to coast. Was the ball handler in a horns set and hit a cutting Gillies for a layup. Her improvement as a passer is fun to watch. Hit both FTs on a 1-1 to put them up 3 with :18 seconds left. Added two more FTs to extend the lead. She couldn’t buy a bucket from deep, but just kept competing. Impressive outing from Hurst. The Okolo vs Hurst match up was everything it was hyped as.
ETA couldn’t get a bucket early and really tried to go to her going. Made a beautiful face up move into a scoop (they called it a travel….but the flash of potential was there.). She’s a D1 post for a reason. Showed nice touch from the mid-range. Defensively did a great job protecting the rim.

Gilbert did a great job guarding 34. Showed off her passing by collapsing the D and kicking to shooters. Stayed solid all game, and with 5:00 took a handoff downhill for a huge and-1 finish. Very active on the glass and defensively. Great motor.
