Legacy Region Kick-Off: Greater Purpose

They played at the Prep Hoops Event - Legacy Region Kick-Off in New Berlin, WI. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team of Greater Purpose Athletics has formed this roster and puts a ball club together that plays a great brand of basketball. They play smart, they play fast, outside to the inside, going to the hoop, and what is refreshing is that they are unselfish. They must truly like each other. I rarely see that fast, and that under-control from any player sprinting up the court. At the end of the play was an unselfish dish to the big near the hope for the score. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Next, I saw <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='882419' first='Jaslene' last='Evans']</strong>, who was on the left wing, where she popped a smart three-pointer, all within rhythm and flow of offense. At this point, I decided it was time for me to give this game more of my attention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is what proceeded to happen as I sat down. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='882438' first='Amadea' last='Montejio']</strong>, just dismantled the opposing team. She also played with a crazy pace and mostly controlled game from the lead guard spot. In short order, she had a euro-step layup, a sweet dish to a teammate, high-pressure D, and then a steal. Talked about someone who impacted the game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I like what I saw from other players too. Such as a very athletic reverse layup by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='500611' first='Symone' last='Harrell']. </strong>Another three by <strong>Jaslene Evans</strong>, was nice to see. Then the other members of the team play hard and were good teammates, because they were vocal in cheering each other on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Then something crazy happened. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='335714' first='Ellie' last='Thompson']</strong> shot from deep and did not miss. She showed amazing confidence with shooting again from the outside. With that make she never cooled off. Her coach said she hit 8 3-pointers on the game, and I probably stopped counting at 6.
