These two evenly matched 2025 squads both played tough defensively and went on offensive runs. The game needed overtime to decide a winner, and Always 100 Michigan pulled off the nail-biting victory. Here are the prospects from Sunday’s contest who impressed me the most.
Kendall Sury Kendall Sury 5’10” | SG Waterford | 2025 OH is a lanky SG who made a strong impression on both ends for Ohio Future McClain 2025 NE2K at The Clash. She has the versatility to score at all three levels and plays effectively inside or outside. Kendall finishes strong at the rim off two feet and did so through fouls for and ones multiple times. She accelerated past the defense in transition and used a spin move to score and draw the foul. Kendall pressured the ball and blocked a shot attempt in the paint. She used her vertical leaping ability to high point an inbounds pass and finish off two in the paint. Kendall elevated to meet a pass in the air and draw a foul from the defender attempting a steal. She caused steals, split defenders with her aggressive ball handling, and played exceptional basketball on both ends.

Averi Collins Averi Collins 5’3″ | PG Churchill | 2025 State MI is a shifty PG for Always 100 Michigan 17U who had an outstanding game on Sunday at The Clash. She pressured the ball to create many steals, then accelerated for finishes at the rim. Averi used a hesitation dribble to freeze her defender and then exploded by to score at the rim. She communicated with teammates on offense to keep the ball moving and found open teammates for assists (MOI Business).

Demi Bolton Demi Bolton 5’6″ | CG Ferndale | 2025 State MI is an athletic guard who made key plays to help earn Always 100 Michigan 17U a victory Sunday at The Clash. Demi used her offensive awareness/vision to make extra passes to teammates when she forced defenders to collapse with her drives. Demi tied up the ball on a drive and stole the ball multiple times; her length and quickness give her an advantage against opposing guards. Demi attacked downhill through the defense to score on drives effectively with either hand and dribbled into a smooth wing 3 (MOI Nursing).

Khalia Bradley Khalia Bradley 5’7″ | SG Avondale Highschool | 2025 MI scored big time buckets to help Always 100 Michigan 17U earn a win on Sunday at The Clash. Khalia showed her effective outside shot by knocking down a corner 3 off the catch and another wing 3 in rhythm. Her length and balance give her an advantage to catch and shoot over defenders closing out. Khalia outworked her defender for an offensive board and converted a floater in the paint (MOI Nursing).
Autumn Pernell Autumn Pernell 5’7″ | SF Ypsilanti | 2025 State MI set the tone defensively for Always 100 Michigan 17U with her relentless effort at The Clash on Sunday. She accelerates through the paint on her drives to draw fouls and if she misses a shot there’s a high chance she will secure the offensive rebound. Autumn finished strong off two with her left at the rim and stripped the ball away from the other team after a rebound. She stays in a balanced stance defensively and has exceptional quickness laterally to cut off ball handlers. There was a sequence where Autumn kept switching dribble hand-offs to guard the ball up top for at least 10 seconds without yielding a drive to the basket. She stole a pass and forced a foul on her way to the rim in transition, then knocked down important free throws. Autumn hit the deck to secure a loose ball in OT and scored an offensive rebound put back off two feet (MOI Sports Medicine).

Megan Herriott (6’0, W/PF, 2025) is an impressive prospect for Ohio Future McClain 2025 NE2K who showed off her athleticism Sunday at The Clash. She elevated to high point an entry pass and knocked down both her free throws after causing a foul. Megan used a drop step pivot to finish off the glass and blocked at least four shots in the paint. Megan used her strength, length, and athleticism to secure rebounds on both ends: she has advanced footwork to keep the ball away from defenders.

Kinsey Myers
Kinsey Myers (5’4, PG, 2025) contributed for Ohio Future McClain 2025 NE2K on both ends at The Clash on Sunday. She worked for an offensive rebound then finished off the glass and scored on a drive through the teeth of the defense. She scored at the rim after stealing the ball away and used a variety of dribbles to create separation in the half court.

Jalea Johnson
Jalea Johnson (5’7, CG, 2025) impressed with her communication and leadership for Ohio Future Mcclain 2025 NE2K on Sunday at The Clash. She is a strong and athletic guard, exploding to the basket on a baseline drive finish through contact and one. Jalea converted an impressive reverse dribbling full speed. She constantly uses verbal feedback to actively encourage and direct teammates on the court and from the sideline. Jalea displayed a high basketball IQ as she pointed and anticipated action on the court; she would communicate with her coach during breaks in the game. Jalea applies pressure defensively and plays with high-energy.
