AAU State Championship (Knoxville)

I was able to watch a few of the games online today from the AAU State Championship in Knoxville, TN. Hayden finds her way down the court, pulls up, and drills a big time three to put her team within 1 with under 1 minute and 30 seconds left. Hayden is a tough athlete and she continues to show that she is not afraid of the big time moments! She then uses her size, length, and vertical to make the inbound pass incredibly difficult. When I talk to college coaches, [player_tooltip player_id='755832' first='Peyton' last='Wood'] is one of the first names that I mention to them. After the first live, I told them all to get Wood on their radar! When you get a chance to watch her overall game, you are going to love every piece of it! Yes, she has tremendous upside. She was consistent in her performances so far this weekend too! She's a defensive monster. Nicely put, this young athlete is a monster! Once again, I don't like throwing stat lines out there, but I have to add these impressive numbers by Maddie:rnrn15 points (6-9), 1 steal against TN Team Pridernrn7 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 assists against TN Hoyasrnrn9 points, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds against [program_tooltip program_id='713862' first='TN' last='Lady Grit']rnrnIf you didn't do the math, she is averaging 10.3 points and 4 steals after 3 games. She has helped her Trotters team to a 3-0 start. There is so much to love about Maddie's game. She understands the game, and she is always one of the most athletic players on the court at all times! I watched one game online against Team Unlimited and it was a battle. Gwen is one that is definitely ready for any battle. Scoring was spread throughout the entire Trotters' team. Gwen is averaging 12.6 points after the first 3 games. She continues to show great acrobatic, crafty finishes! Harper had numerous offensive rebounds. She battles on the boards, and tries to get every rebound that comes off the goal. She's a fundamentally sound athlete. She has a great understanding of keeping the ball high when she gets a rebound. She makes quick outlet passes on her defensive boards, and she goes up strong when she gets the offensive board. A great rebounding machine that anyone would love to have on their team! She can also step out and shoot the mid-range and the long ball consistently! She shows a good understanding of the game! She's strong, physical, and a great inside presence! She gets after it every single possession! She never worries about who is in front of her. She's a strong ball handler and she always attacks the rim aggressively! She has a number of impressive moves, including her nice hesitation moves! She absorbs contact exceptionally well, and she finishes well around the rim when attacking. This is another athlete that has so much to her overall game that you will love!
