As of this writing, one full month has been completed in the 2024 club season. Among the teams that has hit the road is SVM Select Rams . The team is based in Woodbridge which, of course, is south of Washington, D.C.
The team is competing on the Puma Hoops Circuit and has eight tournaments remaining on its schedule – including three during NCAA live periods. Without further ado, here is a look at this year’s SVM Select Rams assembling.
Keilani Johnson – She was one of three who shared team captaincy duties for Freedom this past season. In 22 games during the 2023-24 season, Johnson averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.5 steals and three assists per game.
Keilana Johnson – Keilani’s twin sister is another who represents Freedom which is well-represented on this year’s SVM Select Rams roster. Along with having averaged 6.8 points, four rebounds and 2.3 steals a game last season, Johnson showcases versatility as she can log productive minutes as a guard, small forward or a wing.
Payton Walters Payton Walters 5'8" | PG Osborne Park | 2027 State VA – Walters completed her freshman season at Osbourn Park and was part of a 2023-24 Yellow Jackets rendition that advanced to the Class 6 semifinals. She can give a team productive minutes at either of the guard spots in the backcourt.
Paige Walters – She was also part of that Osbourn Park rendition that finished with a 24-4 record en route to that playoff run. Her athletic career has also seen her compete in track and field events.
Camryn Hackney – The Eagles of Evergreen Christian in Leesburg are also well-represented on this year’s roster. Hackney competed in 21 games as a sophomore and averaged 7.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game.
Adriana Jenkins – Speaking of Evergreen Christian sophomores, one must not overlook Jenkins. She competed in 23 games in 2023-24 for the Eagles and averaged 10.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
Savannah Price – Before arriving at the scene at Freedom, Price previously wore the orange and black of Brentsville District. Price took to the court in 22 games this past season for the Eagles and averaged 10.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Nyah Barnwell – She was part of a Riverbend team that concluded the 2023-24 season with a record of 16-7. Barnwell took to the court in 16 games this past season for the Bears and is the lone Riverbend representative on the travel team roster.
Kiera Todd – Todd is a multi-sport athlete at North Stafford as she also competes on the junior varsity team alongside what she does hoops-wise. Todd is listed at 5-foot-9 and is the only Wolverines representative on the roster.
Kenneah Deguzman – Speaking of multi-sport athletes, Deguzman has been that during her time with Freedom as she also competed in junior varsity softball alongside what she gets done on the basketball court. Since the season ended, she landed an offer from Point Park in Pittsburgh. Richard Bland and Kankakee Community College also extended offers.
Nini Makec Nini Makec 6'1" | PF Christ Chapel Academy | 2028 VA – Makec recently completed her eighth grade season and stands at an imposing 6-foot-1. She was also part of a 2023-24 Christ Chapel Academy rendition that finished with a 22-6 record.
Amaya Thrash Amaya Thrash 5'4" | PG Colgan | 2024 VA – Thrash recently made a bit of news as she announced that she will take her talents to Randolph Macon for her collegiate career. She is the lone representative from Colgan on the AAU team’s roster.
