I'm in my hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota, waiting for games to tip off at Live at the Lakes. While I wait, I figure I might as well talk about some kids I'm eager to see this weekend here in Minnesota. Let's talk about some of those kids this morning.

[player_tooltip player_id='252379' first='Addison' last='Mack']

Based on Synergy Sports' data from the first live period, Mack was the most efficient scorer in shoe circuits from around the country. The Minnehaha guard has been among the top scorers in Minnesota High School Basketball since she stepped foot on a high school floor and is currently among the top scorers in the country heading into her senior season. From seeing her sparingly through the high school season, that level of scoring doesn't come as a surprise. I saw her for short stints in Pennsylvania last month, but I'm eager to sit down and watch her for a game of hers for the first time since December.

[player_tooltip player_id='751284' first='Sidney' last='Zehner']

The backcourt on [program_tooltip program_id='713045' first='Wisconsin' last='Lakers']' 2027 team of [player_tooltip player_id='751287' first='Tessa' last='Bryan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='751284' first='Sidney' last='Zehner'] could become one of the best in that class around the state. Each has a quick first step and can make things happen off the dribble. However, let's talk more specifically about Zehner. The Arrowhead guard has shown through the high school season she can be active in passing lanes and has proven to be a solid decision-maker in transition. She never needed to be an aggressive scorer for the Division 1 state champions, but I'm eager to see her after a month of playing with this new-look Lakers group.

[player_tooltip player_id='448246' first='Addison' last='Baumgart']

The most noticeable aspect of Baumgart's game is her shooting. As a floor-spacing four, there isn't much better in Wisconsin than the Kaukauna forward. Since April 2023, Baumgart has been routinely burying open threes. I'm unaware of what she's shooting from the three-point line this summer, but if it's over 50%, that wouldn't surprise me. There is room to improve her ability to utilize that shooting threat to get to the basket. However, she's adding a show and go from the perimeter. That has made me believe Baumgart could become a productive scoring four based on her perimeter game. She's a scholarship-level kid.

[player_tooltip player_id='528115' first='Addison' last='Schliewe']

Sheboygan Falls is a little out of my driving range in the high school season, but the tools are there for Schliewe. She's 6-2 and can get up and down the floor like a guard. Since I don't see her during the high school season, she's among the top kids I want to watch this weekend.
