Here are the girls from the 17U games who impressed me the most at the tournament on May 18th and 19th in Mount Pleasant.
Alanah Dubose (2026) Kentucky Elite made my list because of her exceptional two-way play at the PGH LIVE this weekend. Her comfort handling the ball under pressure, changing height, and combining crossovers was atop the list. She showed the range to knock down 3’s outside and her ability to cut off ball handlers and force turnovers with her defensive pressure is what coaches want to see at the next level. Alanah attacks and finishes with explosive drives and she has the vision to fly in transition and use either hand to create offense.

Kaylynn Millander Kaylynn Millander MI is a CG for Michigan Knights who I was excited to watch this weekend and she proved she might have the heighest ceiling of any guard at the PGH LIVE. Kaylynn uses her 5-7 length and freakish athleticism to out jump and run every player on the court. The speed of her crossovers, pushout dribbles, and attack moves are incredible to watch. She blows by defenders to finish at the rim, but is equally effective using a punch step with a dribble to knock down 3’s after creating space. Kaylynn sees the floor extremely well and creates offense for others by demanding so much attention from the defense. She leaped up to bat down passes and stole the ball many times. Kaylynn proved how special her game is at our event this weekend.

Jocelyn Kotowicz Jocelyn Kotowicz 5’6″ | CG St. John’s | 2025 State MI is a unique CG prospect for the Naturals who has attended many of the same tournaments I have covered this spring and over the weekends has cemented herself in my mind as a guard who is deserving of next level attention. She anticipated a pass and exploded to deflect the ball at half court and then pushed the ball full speed into a jump stop finish off two as she bullied a defender out of the way. She is an accurate 3 point shooter, hitting wing and corner shots. Jocelyn is physically imposing and has the muscles to out rebound any forward inside, but also the quickness to defender point guards. She has elite vision and ball handling abilities to use crossovers and patiently run the offense. Jocelyn is the strongest passer I have seen on the circuit this spring, she fires 3/4 length two handed chest passes and did it again this weekend.

Diavian Robinson Diavian Robinson 5’3″ | PG Clarenceville | 2025 State MI is a CG from Lady FVV who I have seen multiple times now and she has cemented herself in my mind as one of the most athletic, downhill, and defensively driven guards on the circuit. I love how she plays the game, Diavian high points the basketball on rebounds and is relentless with her ball pressure. She creates an insane amount of offense from steals and because of her speed and downhill game. Diavian explodes through defenders using crossover attack moves and has no problems finishing contested shots inside. She can knock down outside shots and dish the ball when she needs to on her drives. Her play at PGH LIVE was outstanding. Diavian deserves next level attention and there are many schools who would love what she can add on both sides of the ball.

Kara Roberts was a new face who traveled a long way with Zero Star Basketball and proved why she is an elite CG prospect at PGH LIVE. Kara was the most efficient outside shooter at the tournament and she showed the balance to rain 3’s off the dribble and the catch. Kara has college range and at times completely took over the game with her accuracy from beyond the arc. Kara sees the floor very well and effectively reverses the court with either hand on her passes. Her ball handling to relieve pressure is crisp and she keeps her eyes up. Kara finishes contested mid-range jumpers and shots inside, while pressuring the ball with scrappy defense to create turnovers. She had an outstanding tournament and proved her value as a next level prospect.
