does not mind mixing it up at any time. Someone forgot to tell Terry the floor was a hard surface even if they had told her she was still diving for the on the floor for balls taking charges or giving up her body for a layup or free through attempt. Terry is one of the toughest guards out there physically and on the basketball court as well, Derrick can shoot the mid range. She can shoot the three and definitely can get downhill.
Sy’monique Simon Sy’monique Simon 5'6" | SG Cardinal Mooney | 2025 State FL was one tough guard on the floor and in addition to the toughness, Simon has a very impressive basketball IQ. She has an understanding of scoring the ball and setting up her teammates to score from the two . Simon also played good defense and held her on against some of the top guards in the State.
Janai Jordan Janai Jordan 5'9" | PG Providence Jacksonville Florida | 2025 State FL was tearing it up at the showcase in Gainesville. She hit’em with back to back three pointers at one juncture and I could see the college coaches paying attention. Jordan handles the ball, plays good defense, scores in transition, shoots the three well, and can rip to the midrange. All of this was on display at the FABC showcase.
Trista Brown Trista Brown 5'6" | PG Ribault | 2025 State FL help lead her new team to an unblemished record at the FABC Showcase. Brown is a scorer and can shoot the three. If you knocks one down early she is known for stringing about four or five in a row. As aggressive of a scorer that she is, she did a good job of staying in the team concept. Brown distributed the ball well to her talented teammates and I’m looking forward to seeing the chemistry develop between she and her teammates. Ribault could be making a deep run into the playoff and Brown will likely be driving the bus.
Alex Gross Alex Gross 5'7" | SG Ribault | 2025 State FL is fast, athletic, and is a shooting guard with a scorer’s mentality. Gross knocked down 8 three pointers in a game last year. She can knock them down when she gets rolling. Gross does a good job of handling the ball and with her speed always keeps the defense on it’s heels.
Leila Goll Leila Goll 5'8" | SG Bolles | 2026 State FL got it going a little the game I saw her and ironically it was her getting to the rim and scoring and dishing, and making steals and throwing dimes right afterwards in transition. Goll is a three point specialist, but showed she can do a lot more than just shoot the three ball.
Kelsey Sharpe Kelsey Sharpe 5'4" | PG Sickles | 2026 FL was handling business at the FABC. Everytime I passed by her cour, the swift guard had a defender on their heels. Sharpe gets down hill and can score in the paint or create feeethrow opportunities for herself. She also used her speed and quickness to set up shots for her teammates. She is a leader out there on the court and she injects confidence in her teammates.
Brianna Brown Brianna Brown 5'11" | SG Somerset Prep North Lauderdale | 2025 State FL was out there balling and was a key reason that her team was handling business at the showcase. Brown has great size and defended on the inside and on the perimeter. Brown was knocking down shots on the perimeter as well as scoring in the paint. She also did a nice job of handling the ball and getting out in transition. Brown stood out in the transition game and had no problems pulling up with the jumper in transition.
Jiyah Hamilton Jiyah Hamilton 5'2" | PG Forest | 2025 State FL played well at the showcase and the impressive part of Hamilton’s game was the small stuff. She is a good on ball defender who has the ability to stay in front of ball handlers or at least cut off their angles to the basket. Hamilton also played well on the offensive end. She got the rim and scored some, but her selfless play stood out more. Hamilton is a team first guard who gets everyone involved.
