As we move into the month of July, a prospect that has shown a lot of promise and dedication from the guard position in Iowa in this 2027 Class is someone that can make a difference because of her shooting ability and her ability to set up others for success with the ball in her hands. That prospect being [player_tooltip player_id='644546' first='Addyson' last='Luvan'] of Cedar Rapids - Jefferson High School. Luvan may be one of the shorter players in her Class but she makes up for it with her tenacity and quick trigger from deep whenever she lets it fly. Last season for the J-Hawks, this was someone that demonstrated what she could do, every time she took the floor. With her offseason work and her progress this AAU season, it's not crazy to think that she will step into her teams main rotation and kill it this upcoming season.

The production that [player_tooltip player_id='833955' first='Sasha' last='Baldwin'] has produced this past year while competing on the court for her Iowa City West and [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] programs has been noteworthy. Baldwin is a guard that comes in at 5'7, she has a picture perfect shot form, and she never seems to be satisfied with her production, no matter how well she does. If you want to be a great player at the end of the day, you can NEVER be satisfied and Baldwin demonstrates that to a T. This upcoming season with the Trojans, she is going to play a huge role in her team's success. If her coaching staff can figure out the best way to use her, she is going to light it up from all over the floor. When you pair that along with her ability to get stops on defense in the half court, you start to see what she could really bring to the floor.

As of most recent, [player_tooltip player_id='743646' first='Mya' last='Contreras'] of Bettendorf High School tore her ACL this AAU season but she is going to come back stronger than ever when that times comes. Contreras is someone that keeps the game simple, she has a solid and strong frame, and she is selfless enough to help the others out around her at a high rate. She put together an impressive AAU season up until her injury, getting some interest from collegiate recruiters at a couple different levels. On this pace, when she returns she is going to be a key factor to her Bulldog team's success. They will have two or three other big named prospects in their program but Contreras is someone that could be the anchor for her team when they need it. Everyone else is going to pay attention to those other big names and that's going to allow Contreras to put up some meaningful numbers in the long run.

When I first sat [player_tooltip player_id='923924' first='Olivya' last='Johnson'] compete last season on the JV floor, I was very impressed with her ability to do everything at a high rate. She could bring up the ball and score, she could beat her opponent with a smooth move, or she could screen away from the ball and help open up her teammates for opportunities. This upcoming Winter season, Johnson will play a key role in her team's success. She should see the Varsity floor in spurts. If she can find her niche within that group, she is going to put up some eye opening numbers at the end of the day. Her efficient ability within the half court is better than most and she has a very intelligent coaching staff. When you combined those two factors, it's usually a recipe for success.

A name you are going to hear a lot about these next three years of high school ball from the 2A Class is [player_tooltip player_id='896426' first='Paityn' last='Daedlow'] of Tipton High School. Daedlow is a quick thinking and fast moving guard, that is a solid prospect on both offense and defense. She is someone that can be trusted to get a stop on an alike sized opponent or she can lead her team with scoring a bunch of buckets on that end of the floor. As long as she works on staying aggressive at all times on offense, she is going to put up some memorable numbers these next few seasons. She has the skill level and ability, it's just putting that ability to use. She has to understand to stay aggressive first and ask questions later. If that happens, she will be a state leader in a few different categories in the near future.
