Securing the number 1 spot in the 2026 rankings for the second time in a row as well as a forward spot in this starting five, [player_tooltip player_id='832587' first='Taylor' last='Donaldson'] is a lock-in to play at the highest level. She had just about as good of a sophomore season as one can imagine, finishing first team all-Mid-Willamette Conference, first team all-state tournament, and led South Albany to a third place finish in the state. At 6'0 tall, she is the full package as a scorer (including an excellent 3-point shot), rebounder, and defender. In the state tournament, she averaged 19.7 points on 50% shooting to go along with 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.

The point guard for this starting five of Division I talent, [player_tooltip player_id='832611' first='Taylor' last='Young'] is the full package at that position. Young was one of the necessary pieces in South Medford's state championship run last season, and she earned first team all-Southwest Conference while also being the conference DPOY, proving her elite ability on both ends of the court. She is a gifted scorer at all three levels, as demonstrated by her 18.4 points per game on 61% shooting and 38% shooting from beyond the arc at the NorCal Spring Live tournament a few weeks ago, in addition to seeing the floor and passing at a very high level.

Another forward to add to the starting five, La Salle's [player_tooltip player_id='832586' first='Ava' last='Bergeson'] is one of Oregon's finest on the hardwood. She is a double-double machine who absolutely dominated any matchup that was thrown at her all season in her sophomore year. Bergeson has excellent length with her 6'1 size that college coaches will love, especially considering that she is skilled enough to play nearly any position on the floor. She was an easy choice for first team all-Northwest Oregon Conference, and the future looks incredibly bright as she heads into the second half of her high school career.

Every starting five needs a talented center to hold it down in the middle, and [player_tooltip player_id='832597' first='Kiara' last='Green'] is that for the class of 2026 rankings. Green also earned a spot on the Northwest Oregon all-conference team for her impressive play all season that included her putting up video game numbers in quite a few of the games, including her 27-point, 16-rebound, and 2-block performance at home against La Salle. She is 6'4 and a nightmare for opposing defenses with the ball in her hands anywhere near the paint with her impressive touch. She continues to be a nightmare for opponents to try to box out on both ends of the floor.

And finally another guard to round out the starting five, [player_tooltip player_id='832618' first='Carly' last='Skogstad'] had herself a year in her second high school season. A proven leader already as the only non-senior to be a captain for Sprague last season, the sophomore earned first team all-Central Valley Conference and made a case to be the conference's player of the year with her consistently elite level of play. 20-point games were a nightly occurrence with her abilities to shoot the lights out from the outside as well as get to the rim in a wide variety of ways. Skogstad is also a crafty defender and shows off her high IQ on this end of the floor as well as on the offensive end.
